Check out the new song, Cloud City by Lost In Los Angeles

April 7, 2014

Lost in Los Angeles (LiLA)  are set to release their full length album Love is Fate this Summer. The cover artwork by Garrett Wasserman (aka, PEOPLE) is the first foray into a story that will unfold further this spring, culminating in the cover for LiLA’s highly anticipated Love Is Fate LP.  The first single released off the new album is Cloud City and is available now on Itunes, Amazon, as well as a variety of other online retail outlets. You can check out the catchy tune here:   Cloud City is an excellent track, a dream induced indie pop reminiscent of the shoegaze era. It has depth with it’s expressions through it’s eclectic synth and beats. Lost in Los Angeles once again does a wonderful job of warm storytelling as they bring to life their energy through song.  They are currently working on their video for Cloud City and we can’t wait to see it when it is completed.  Lost in Los Angeles had amazing success with their last video for Because of You which you can check out here: [Read More]

DORYDRIVE’s new album Here’s To You is addictive!!

April 7, 2014

I have to share a secret with you…. I am addicted to the new album “Here’s To You” by DoryDrive and I mean addicted!  DoryDrive is an alternative rock/ pop rock band from Nashville and they have released their full length album earlier this year. It is definitely making an impact. DoryDrive is Mathieu Nevitt on Vocals, Tom LaBrosse on Guitar, Henry Koller on Guitar, Nick Mendini on Bass and Joey Zak on Drums. As soon as you take a first listen, starting with Radiate you can’t help but be captivated by the infectious vocals of Mathieu Nevitt. He almost reminds me of my fave vocalist, Myles Kennedy. It is awesome to hear fresh new music that immediately grabs your attention and then continues on with the next song.  Paramour has emotionally driven lyrics that ring through passionate vocals and catchy melodic hooks. This band definitely delivers a complete package and holds nothing back in their delivery. Here’s To You has a sweet seductive intro that builds into a rockin song. It is probably my most favorite song, but honestly every song [Read More]

Just check out the last songs, ‘HEALTER SKELTER’ and ’21st Century Schizoid Man!‘”  Check out the video here:     The video proves that they are definitely a band you won’t want to miss when they come to your town. Sonia Jeron new EP “You As The One” is a beautiful musical treasure

April 7, 2014

Sonia Jeron is originally from Lisbon, Portugal but spends most of her time in London, UK. Sonia recently released her three song EP You As The One and is absolutely beautiful! She is not only young and beautiful but also Sonia‘s voice is truly captivating and is passionate yet angelic.  Her first single, You as The One is a song with heartfelt vocals, pop melody with a catchy chorus. It is quite infectious and I will definitely have it on replay for a while! Sonia‘s voice is so expressive through her songs, she brings the music to life and reminds me of two of my all time favorite vocalists, Sarah Mclachlan and Natalie Merchant. One thing they both possessed which Sonia does as well, is the perfect way of telling the story through her vocals, with her range of tones and depths and Not Again highlights this great art. No One Can Deny also displays her spectacular vocals and brings to life the intensity of the lyrics. Her new EP is available on Itunes here and is [Read More]

Up.Rooted. A review of Gina Chavez’s latest album – a musical triumph and a transformational experience.

April 7, 2014

Up.Rooted. A review of Gina Chavez’s latest album – a musical triumph and a transformational experience. With Up.Rooted, Gina Chavez has established herself as the Joan Baez of her generation.   We are now seeing an emergence of second and third generation Latin musicians who were raised at home in Spanish  with cumbia and reggaeton and bosa nova and in school in English with rock and rap and blues and jazz.  They are creating a new genre – Gringo-Latin pop, Latino-white folk, Latin fusion – it goes by many names because it hasn’t gelled enough to have one name.  The young men and women who are creating this new genre bring something else to the table besides bi-lingual musical forms, human stories and a social conscious.  They sing songs of immigrant abuse, of NAFTA, of homelessness, of human rights.  They are to the 21st century what Joan Baez, Phil Ochs, Aretha Franklin and Bob Dylan were to the war in Vietnam and the US Civil Rights movement.  Gina Chavez is one of the artists leading [Read More]

April 7, 2014

Here you go! PALAYE ROYALE is making history and I have never doubted them for a second!  We wrote about PALAYE ROYALE last year and simply titled them “The Best Indie Rock Band out Today That You Have to Hear“. Well I am glad to see that they are continuing to get the praise and recognition that they truly deserve.  Most recently, PALAYE ROYALE was the only unsigned band to be nominated in the MTV Musical March Madness. That is not where they stopped, they deserve to be at the Top and that is exactly where they are headed.
