Shattered Sun take over the Whisky a GoGo as they open up for Skid Row

May 20, 2014

Just a couple weeks ago, we told you about Shattered Sun as they set out on the road to California to play at the Whisky a GoGo. We were able to catch that show of theirs at the Whisky a GoGo where they opened up for Skid Row. It was an awesome show! This band is never short on energy. They came out delivering a fresh new style of heavy thrash metal with emotionally driven lyrics that captivate the listener and immediately draw them into the Shattered Sun family.  What is awesome to see is a full band complete with two guitarists and keys. It really does complete the sound and takes their music to greater depths and adds many layers to enjoy. Shattered Sun was the first band to be signed to Breaking Bands Management which is the directed and founded by the powerhouse team of Adrenaline PR CEO Maria Ferrero, former MegaForce Records and Crazed Management owners Jon and Marsha Zazula, and Testament vocalist and co-manager Chuck Billy. Chuck made it out to the show at the Whisky and was in attendance as the crowd went [Read More]

Ragdoll makes their debut at the Whisky a Go Go and delivers a solid rockin set!

May 20, 2014

Australia rockers Ragdoll have returned to the the US in support of their upcoming release, Ragdoll Rewound which is a compilation of Ragdoll‘s first two releases (‘Ragdoll Rock’ and ‘Here Today’) plus four live recordings, one of which is a new composition, “Rewind Your Mind.” The album is set to release later this week on May 23rd. The trio revisited the first EP and had it remixed and polished the way they had always wanted to hear it. Songs like “Foot to the Floor” sound leaner and meaner while “The Feeling” is even more epic! Any issues the band may have had with the original ‘Here Today’ master have been fully rectified here too; while the new master of “Tell Me” in particular is a lot more dynamic and more true to the original mix. Ragdoll is Ryan Rafferty on (lead vocals, bass), Leon Todd (guitar), and Cam Barrett (drums) and together they are creating a powerful strong rock and roll sound worthy of your attention. With an intense desire to inject new life into the music they love; Ragdoll‘s [Read More]

May 19, 2014

By Patrick O’Heffernan, Host Music FridayLive!   Roses and Revolutions, aka Alyssa Coco and Matt Merritt, a New York-based duo, has released a new self-titled  EP that debuted at #1 on iTunes bestselling Singer/Songwriter EPs & Singles chart and #22 on Top Albums. They are coming to my town, Los Angeles,  next week but took time off this week for an interview. Patrick.  There is so much to talk to you about – your tour, the new EP, the video, being on American idol,  but first, I understand there is a story behind Elvio Fernandes being on one of the  EP’s cuts? Alyssa. The song he is on, The Walls, is a recent song, but I have known him since I was 12 years old.  He listened to my first song – it wasn’t good – but he made his contributions. The most recent song is very close to me and was very honored to have him on it. Patrick.    How did you get the song to him? Alyssa.  Before he was a big rock star, [Read More]
