Check out our chat with Courage My Love as they take over the Ernie Ball stage on Warped Tour

July 3, 2014

This year Warped Tour really had a variety of bands for everyone to enjoy. Some long time favorites and some new bands. I have to tell you about how we found this next band. Rockin Ryan and I were heading to the main stage to cover a set and we were running by the Ernie Ball stage. We could hear this great female fronted rock band  and a female drummer performing and were immediately stopped dead in our tracks. We were then introduced to the bad ass rock n roll from Courage My Love. We stayed and watched their whole set. This powerful trio truly took over the Ernie Ball stage and are a must see on this year’s Warped Tour. Courage My Love features: Mercedes Arn-Horn – Guitar/ Vocals Phoenix Arn-Horn – Drums/ Vocals/ Cello Brandon Lockwood – Bass/ Vocals We had the chance to chat with Courage My Love on our next Warped Tour stop and are pleased to bring you that interview here: They are playing the full tour on the Ernie [Read More]

Check out the new video for Higher by Exorcism for some fierce heavy metal

July 3, 2014

Allow me to introduce you to a band that I just learned about, Exorcism. This international heavy doom metal band recently released a video for their song, Higher and it just kicks ass!  These guys are awesome and I just learned of them this morning after checking out a post on our Facebook page. I love their sound which is described as heavy metal but definitely has some straight up hard rock in there for everyone to enjoy. The guitars are fierce, vocals are powerful and searing, and the song is invigorating. Check it out here: The video was directed and produced by Michael Vetter of Menschbilder Photo-Art, this June at Majorca in Spain. The song is off of their album, I am God which was released on in April 2014. Exorcism is Csaba Zvekan on Vocals, Joe Stump on Guitars, Lucio Manca on Bass and Garry King on Drums. Together these four are fueled with energy to deliver a solid heavy metal album that is deserving of your attention. Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on [Read More]

My Life With Thrill Kill Kult returns to a packed house at the DNA Lounge!

July 2, 2014

If you have ever been inside the pizza parlor of the DNA Lounge, you may have noticed all the cool concert posters of bands who have graced the stages of the DNA Lounge. You might even see the four or five My Life With Thrill Kill Kult posters there. The DNA has a long history in San Francisco and I can remember spending many late nights in the late 80’s and 90’s. It has since become one of the favored venues by artists to perform. We were excited to catch the return of My Life With Thrill Kill Kult as they made a stop in San Francisco for their “Spooky Tricks” Tour in support of their new album of the same title. It was an awesome night that started off with a spectacular set by San Jose symphonic metal band, Retconstruct. You can read more about Retconstruct here. Then there was a set by DJ Toxic Rainbow to get everyone in the dancing mood. Then as My Life With Thrill Kill Kult took to the [Read More]
