LIVE’s extraordinary set at BottleRock Napa took me back to my 20’s

June 4, 2017

A very personal highlight for myself at BottleRock Napa 2017 has to be seeing the original lineup of LIVE perform. They have reunited and the original lineup of Kowalczyk, guitarist Chad Taylor, bassist Patrick Dahlheimer and drummer Chad Gracey are in the midst of a World Tour. In addition to touring they will be releasing new music. Their set brought me back to the first time I saw them, back in a small nightlclub (possibly the DNA Lounge or Paradise Lounge) in San Francisco in the early 90’s. It was right before they entered into mainstream success and it was such an honor to catch them in the intimate environment. One thing was certain, over the years, I have held bands live performances to the standards of LIVE’s performance in that small venue.  They had energy, adrenaline and passion exuding with every note, beat and lyric. Fast forward to BottleRock Napa 2017 and LIVE’s performance had me reminiscing of that first show. They hit the stage and were non-stop with the energy. They impressed me all [Read More]

CKY release new single, Replaceable and catch them out on Vans Warped Tour 2017

June 3, 2017

American rockers CKY releases new single, Replaceable and it is one bad ass track. Guitarist/Vocalist Chad I Ginsberg comments about the song, “Replaceable is a rockin track. Fucking solid. I would  say it is generally about anyone that gets in your way, holds you back or slows your potential with their own blatant insecurity, fears or sickness. Individuals that you are ultimately and knowingly covering for as they selfishly sabotage you. And then realizing how much better you can be without any losers or life suckers as obstacles. Rock n roll power.  Onward. Strength from within.”  Check out the song here:   In addition to all preorders now being live, both tracks are also available as an iTunes instant gratification track, meaning fans who pre order the album on iTunes will receive “Replaceable” and “Days Of Self Destruction” as an instant download. CKY will release The Phoenix on June 16, 2017 via eOne Music. The all new LP will be the first release since the band put out Carver City in 2009. The album was engineered and mixed at Rancho De La Luna, [Read More]

Chat with Corey Harper at BottleRock Napa, definitely one of our festival highlights

June 3, 2017

Corey Harper was one of our BottleRock Napa highlights as he swooned the crowd with his infectious vocals. The singer/songwriter creates an immediate connection with his fans and his John Mayer-esque vocals have you captivated from first listen.  He played an incredible set at BottleRock, check out some photos from our Rockin Ryan: In addition, we had the chance to catch up with Corey Harper for a quick chat, check out our interview here:   It is amazing to hear about how young he was when first introduced into music and how he studied music which led to his endless talents.  His video for Favorite Part of Loving You is one of my faves. Corey comments on the song, “The song re-paints the darker canvas of an era in my life with brighter colors to look back on, and carry through into a new one.” Corey brings out a raw authenticity to his music and videos, which is somewhat lacking in today’s scene.  You can’t help but fall in love with his songs and his emotionally [Read More]
