Everywhere you turned, was a stage featuring great musical acts, head turning art and top notch food and drinks at every corner. The festival kicked off on Friday, September 15th and the crowds were spread out among the five major stages, enjoying the likes of X Ambassadors, Smash Mouth, Dave Mason, Lawrence, Weezer, Kesha, Red Hot Chili Peppers and so much more. The variety of bands insured that everyone would be pleased with the music and have their favorite artists performing. Beyond the blues: an interview with Jackie Venson

September 19, 2017

Patrick O’Heffernan (Hollywood) Jackie Venson is usually described as a blues guitarist with a smoky voice and unreal guitar chops. She has won a ton of awards for her blues playing and even has a holiday with her name on it in her native Austin Texas – Jackie Venson Day. But she is much more than a blues woman.  If you listen carefully, you will hear that her blues is tinged with rock, soul and even rap and pop, and her lyrics are the stories of today, not the past.  H voice is smoother and more sensual than most blues and her audiences are much wider and younger than the classic blues crowd. She is on tour now in advance of releasing her fourth album, Transcends,  Sept 29. We caught up with her the day after her concert in Hollywood while she was waiting to see if she could get into the Forum that night to see Gary Clark Jr. open for Eric Clapton.otel café.   Patrick. Jackie, besides the new album coming out, what [Read More]

PHOTO GALLERY of Florida Georgia Line at Concord Pavilion by Sean Liming

September 19, 2017

Nelly got the crowd going and sure made one little girl’s night. He pulled her on stage and sang to her. The cute girl was maybe in middle school with tears down her face with excitement. With the crowd peaking with excitement, Florida Georgia Line sent the crowd into a frenzy. They hit the crowd with a bang. The stage was built to go out into the pit in multiple directions. Florida Georgia Line stopped the concert and sure made one guys life by handing him an acoustic guitar they just played with their signatures. If he didn’t know how to play a guitar, he sure will now. This fun country band is all smiles and fun. It was just a job for them or just singing to get their message sent, they wanted to have just as much fun as the fans were. With a bottle of whiskey each, the cheers to fans at the Concord Pavilion.   Check out the photo gallery: ~ Photography by: Sean Liming Photography Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SeanLimingPhotography/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/s.liming/
