Greta Van Fleet soar to new heights with the upcoming release of The Battle at Garden’s Gate

April 9, 2021

ev·o·lu·tion: noun the gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form. “The evolution of Greta Van Fleet’s music is wildly apparent with their new release of The Battle at Garden’s Gate.” First, I must reveal that our love for Greta Van Fleet began long ago, in early 2017, as their gritty old style rock n roll captivated us from first listen. Their music soon became the soundtrack to some of our most difficult times. We sifted through what remained of our home and business which were lost in the Santa Rosa Tubbs Fire, blaring Black Smoke Rising, the music providing a cathartic release. Over the years, their music and shows have satisfied our intense need for Rock n Roll. As we waited for their new release in hopes of another “Highway Tune” or “Safari Song” to whisk us away into rock abyss, we were teased with music that was definitely of a different style. With each new prerelease, we could sense that with the arrival of The Battle of Garden’s [Read More]

April 9, 2021

AFI (AFireInside) has shared “Dulcería” and “Far Too Near,” two tracks from their eagerly-awaited new album Bodies (due June 11, 2021 via Rise Records). The swaggering “Dulcería” — which was co-written by The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan — is accompanied by an official music video. Watch the “Dulcería” video HERE. Both new tracks will be included on a limited 7″ — hear the songs and find more information about the 7″ HERE. “’Dulcería’ suggests, if you spend too much time in the candy store you may end up stuck to the floor,” says vocalist Davey Havok. “Billy and I have a great creative connection when we’re writing together,” adds guitarist Jade Puget. “It was inspiring to work with such a talented and legendary songwriter and ‘Dulcería’ is a testament to that.“ AFI are leaders, not followers. A collective in a perpetual state of creative evolution as fluid as the evocative figures contorting on the cover of Bodies, their newest collection of songs. The Wallflowers release first single “Roots And Wings” of their upcoming record

April 9, 2021

The Wallflowers will release their new record “Exit Wounds” on July 9th via New West Records. Last night they introduced the first single “Roots And Wings” at Jimmy Kimmel Live!. It’s their first record for almost a decade. It was produced by Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Weezer). “Exit Wounds” was mixed by Chris Dugan (Green Day) and singer-songwriter Shelby Lynn participates on four of the tracks. Though it’s been almost a decade, since we last heard from the band with which Jakob Dylan made a name for himself, he always knew they’ll return. “The Wallflowers is much of my life’s work“, he simply says. True to it’s title “Exit Wounds” is an ode to people – individual and collective – that have, to say the least, been through a lot. Jakob Dylan says: “I think everybody – no matter what side of the aisle you’re on – wherever we’re going to next, we’re all taking a lot of exit wounds with us,” Dylan says. “Nobody is the same as they were four years ago. That, [Read More]

Our Hollow Our Home release new single ” Seven Years”

April 8, 2021

Southhamptons Metalcore-flagship Our Hollow Our Home presented another new song today – “Seven Years (Shine A Light On Me)”. The band comments the song as follows: “Seven Years is a song that delves deep into the struggles of coping with addiction and the feelings of guilt that come with it. The track hits with a rollercoaster of emotions from the onset, using metal-tinged grooves and ferocious growls to set the stage for a ballad-like chorus that is as melancholy as it is infectious. This release will be the fourth single taken from the upcoming album “Burn In The Flood” and is the closing track of the record, making its final message of inward struggle and disappointing those closest to you even more poignant.“ Following the band’s previous singles “Burn In The Flood”, “Remember Me” and “Overcast“, which all received euphoric feedback from their ever-growing fanbase, the same reactions can be expected of their newest song. Excitement grows for their upcoming new record “Burn In The Flood”, which will be released on May 28th through Hollow [Read More]

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA ANNOUNCE “ZII” EP

April 8, 2021

The Devil Wears Prada can always be counted on to challenge themselves — and the world around them with their music. With their new “ZII” EP, which arrives May 21 via Solid State Records, The Devil Wears Prada did not come to play. It’s a discordant, dissonant exercise in excellence. The band has also planned a livestream event for Saturday, May 15, during which they will play the entire “ZII” EP in full. Fans can purchase tickets along with the pre-order of the EP. The original “Zombie” EP dropped all the way back in August 2010 and remains an intense fan favorite. While not a chronological release in the TDWP catalog, “ZII” is the next chapter. “There’s no question that the ‘Zombie’ EP is a fan favorite and a record that really set the pace for us as a heavier band”, The Devil Wears Prada said, offering insight into this EP in relation to their catalog. “A goal we had for this EP was to pay tribute to ‘Z1’ while honing in on the characteristics [Read More]

Additionally, the band has shared lead single “On & On It Goes” available now. “Over It” will be released on May 14th via Rude Records and Equal Vision Records and can be pre-ordered now athttp://neverloved.lnk.to/onandon. “It’s amazing to finally announce our debut album to the world. I remember sitting in the studio with Matt back in 2017 when we first recorded ‘Dead Inside’ thinking how amazing it would be to create a full length record with him and here we are”, recalls Cameron Knopp. “At that point in time it felt like a far fetched dream, we didn’t even have a band name then. To to be here now typing this out feels surreal and to be releasing this record on Rude Records/Equal Vision feels even more surreal. This album is a reminder to myself to never give up, to always work [Read More]
