Spotlight shines on Bonelang for their celestial new video, Mushroom Moon

July 11, 2017

The spotlight is shining on Bonelang as they release a celestial powerful new music video for Mushroom Moon. The alternative duo have successfully delivered a fusion of hip-hop, soulful lyrics, electronic and alt-rock. The break-up style song captures a depth of emotion and a raw honest vulnerability can be felt with each spoken word. You can’t help but be drawn to this genre-defying track. Samy Language comments about the song, “‘Mushroom Moon’ is a breakup song. It started as a deep house track but after three years of molding, it has turned into what you are hearing in this video. Everyone knows heartache and how all-consuming it can feel. Here, these elemental emotions are placed in a cosmic yet intimate setting. Common wisdom will tell you that the vastness of space would seem to make us insignificant in comparison; perhaps instead the fact that we’re the only known entities capable of such breathtaking sorrow makes our small corner of the universe the most remarkable. Our intent in one sentence would be to establish purpose behind [Read More]

Worhol, direct descendants of Andy Warhol release teaser video for new symphonic rock album

June 28, 2017

Our Spotlight band today is a symphonic rock band featuring descendants of Andy Warhol. Worhol was formed back in 2013 when lead singer Worhol and her father Larry Worhol decided they wanted to follow their dream together as a team. They both had degrees in music and having a classical background gave them the foundation in writing their style of music; symphonic and theatrical rock. It works great and sounds awesome. Worhol are set to release a full length album, The Awakening on July 14th. Vocalist Ashley comments about the album, “This album is a chance for us as musicians to open up our hearts and souls to those who listen. We strive for a never ending mission to bring hope and truth back into this world. Through our music we will awaken people to a new era of music. An era that will lead them to their sanctuary.” ‘Worhol’s music can be best described as symphonic and theatrical with Larry being the guitarist as well as the orchestral composer and Ashley being professionally trained. We are hooked on our spotlight band Carter Lou & The Project

June 27, 2017

Today our Spotlight shines on an amazing artist Carter Lou & The Project. Carter’s journey into music began with a bold decision after tragic circumstances. Carter Louthian was ready to set off to college and suddenly everything changed. The night before he was set to go to college, Lou snapped: his two best friends had recently killed themselves a day apart, and his girlfriend had just broken his heart. Combined with the reality of the packaged post-college suburban life he was heading toward, he felt even more emptiness. He boldly told his parents that he wasn’t going to university in the morning and has chosen to pursue music instead. Since then, the band has packed out numerous headlining shows and earning a prestigious endorsement from PRS Guitars.  It truly reminds me of two of my favorite quotes: “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson “Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.” [Read More]

For our next Spotlight Band, we are going to give you a punch of punk rock with Miss Vincent. These punk rockers are from Southampton, England and have just released their new EP Somewhere Else. Vocalist Alex Marshall comments, “It feels so great to finally have this record out in the open. It’s been finished for a while so to finally be at the stage that we can share it is amazing. Every band is always saying their latest release is their best and of course that’s only natural, but with this EP we really feel like we’ve found what we’ve always wanted Miss Vincent to be – it’s a step up in every sense and we’re so proud of this collection of songs.
