The Blue Stones return to The Independent in SF for a stellar show

The Blue Stones returned to perform at The Independent in San Francisco this past Thursday night.  The dynamic duo treated the crowd to a stellar show, along with openers The Velveteers and Jack.  They are currently out on their Pretty Monster tour and you can check out the new album here. Photo Gallery: The National at BottleRock Napa 2023 and upcoming tour dates

The National released its ninth studio album, First Two Pages of Frankenstein, on 4AD. Buy/Stream the album HERE. They played at BottleRock Napa 2023 and it was quite a set. They just began a 2023 world tour with a four-night stand in Chicago on May 18. The itinerary, with numerous shows already sold out, also includes the band’s first show at New York’s Madison Square Garden on August 18 with very special guest Patti Smith and her band. Other shows feature opening sets from Soccer Mommy, The Beths and Bartees Strange. A highlight of BottleRock 2023; Paris Jackson at Jam Cellars Stage

On the second day of BottleRock, Paris Jackson took the task of opening up the show and she performed quite a set. Her music style is a blend of grunge pop rock and pleased the crowd.  Being the daughter of Michael Jackson, many didn’t know what to expect of her performance but afterwards told us how they were very pleasantly surprised.  We had listened to her before and were excited to finally catch her live.  She did not disappoint with her captivating vocals. Starcrawler deliver explosive high energy set at BottleRock 2023

We love finding new bands to cover at BottleRock, but we love it even more when we finally get to see a band that we have been loving for a while! Their album She Said is always on our playlist.  That band was Starcrawler for us and they were a BottleRock highlight as they delivered a set that was non stop energy and satisfied our need for their live performances.  It actually left us longing for the next time we get to see them live. We were able to chat with them a bit before their set and you can check out that brief interview here: The band consists of  Arrow De Wilde, guitarist Henri Cash and brother Bill Cash on pedal steel/guitar, drummer Seth Carolina, and bassist Tim Franco. Idles served up a brutally powerful set as the RE:SET Concert Series kicks off

We have been waiting not so patiently for the Idles to play in the US. They have been one of our favorite bands and with the additional popularity with their music on the Netflix series Peaky Blinders, their fanbase has grown immensely. They might have garnered a lot of attention from the series but their music has been serving up frenzied rhythms and angsty commentary for nearly 15 years. They were performing at the Frost Amphitheater – Stanford for the RE:SET Concert Series.  They had the crowd fueled with adrenaline and quickly the mosh pit was in full force.  It was amazing to witness them perform  under the sun at the outdoor venue.
