ICED EARTH announce North American Headlining Tour in 2014!

November 14, 2013

2014 is going to be an amazing year for metal band, ICED EARTH.  We have been very excited about their upcoming album, “PLAGUES OF BABYLON”which is set for a January 21, 2014 release on Century Media Records. They have also announced their North American Headlining tour with Sabaton and Revamp starting in April 2014. ICED EARTH guitarist and vocalist, Jon Schaffer explains more about the album, “This is a seriously heavy album with a seriously brutal album cover. I’m sure it will go down as a classic in the epic ICED EARTH catalog. We feel that the package with SABATON and REVAMP is very strong and we are very excited to tour the U.S. and Canada again and kick some major ass!” Now that is going to be one fierce album and the tour is going to be just as brutal. We are excited to see a stop scheduled in San Francisco! Last time we saw ICED EARTH in San Francisco, it was a show to remember. For a taste of the new album, check out the [Read More]

Shock Rock/Metal Seven Days Lost from Pueblo, Colorado have just released their video for Whiskey and Gasoline. They have been called, rock, metal, shock rock but whatever you want to call them is fine with me. They are AWESOME! Think a combination of GWAR, Murderdolls and Rob Zombie!  The song is truly bad ass and has a great rockabilly feel to it’s metal rock and it is a funny video too.  Check out their video here:   You can pick up their new CD Good Day to Die which is available and music retailers or you can pick it up right from their store on their website here. Seven Days Lost is  Joseph Vallejos (Lead Guitar & Vocals), Michael Trejo (Guitar & Lead Vocals) Gary Higdon (Bass & Lead Vocals), and Justus Downey (Drums & Vocals). Interview with SpiralArms and SF show highlights

November 13, 2013

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of catching SpiralArms as they opened up for Steel Panther at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco.  One thing about a Steel Panther show is everybody is ready to ROCK and have some fun!  So it was awesome to see Bay Area local band, SpiralArms take over the stage and literally captured the crowd. SpiralArms is a six piece band and they literally create an amazingly complete sound. With the addition of a keyboardist and second guitarist which is often missed, you really get to hear the layers in their music and it just adds so much texture and depth to their sound. They are definitely one of the hottest contemporary rock bands out there and their live performances will completely ROCK YOU!  Their unique sound might remind you of a blend of Soundgarden and Black Sabbath which is a damn good combination! SpiralArms is: Tim Narducci – Vocals/Guitar Craig Locicero – Guitar Anthony Traslavina – Guitar Chris “Cornbread” Lombardo – Bass/Vocals Brad Barth – Keyboards Ron Redeen – Drums You can check out a [Read More]

November 12, 2013

Last year I told you about a great Heavy Hard Rock band, Cold Black. You can read more about them here. They have just released a new video for their song, “These Lips Will Go Blue” and it is BAD ASS all the way!!! They have also added Jeff Polson for bass which Victor Rimpler  was handling before with his KILLER vocals. Hillbilly Herald returns to San Francisco and takes over The Regency Ballroom

November 12, 2013

One of my favorite bands, Hillbilly Herald returned to San Francisco last Friday night to open up for Steel Panther. It was a last minute show announced by Hillbilly Herald and we were so glad to  make it down there and not miss these balls to the wall rock-n-rollers! Hillbilly Herald truly just had the crowd in it’s hands as they came out and played many of my favorites, Bad Boy Bruiser, Gold Digga, their cover of TNT, Greedy, Shame on Me and Rock n Roll is All I Wanna Do. Their energy was nonstop and their music is so damn fun, it is like old school rock that you LOVE! We will be bringing you an interview with Jimmy Heral in the next couple weeks. For now, check out this tribute video by Rockin Ryan which includes footage and photos from their San Francisco show.   If you don’t have it already (SHAME ON YOU!!!) head over to Itunes or Amazon and download their latest album, Sunday’s Best. Also check out their video for [Read More]

Davey Suicide returns to DNA Lounge in San Francisco!

November 7, 2013

Last night was the first night of William Control’s “Revel Without a Cause” Tour.  Day 1 kicked off at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. First up was a great band from England, Fearless Vampire Killers and you can read more about them here. Next up was the shock rock act of Davey Suicide. They were playing in the upstairs of the DNA Lounge which always brings such challenges for bands with limited space and sound qualities. In addition this being the first night of the tour, they have yet to iron out the kinks in their set but that in no way stopped them from delivering a 150% performance. Their dark atmospheric rock n roll wrapped in fine tuned electronics and engaging lyrics had everyone fired up and ready for more. Davey Suicide is on Vocals, Drayven Davidson kills it on drums, Ashes tears it up on guitar and Brent Ashley plays some crunchy bass and provides backing vocals. You can check out a Tribute Video that Rockin Ryan  made which includes photos and [Read More]
