September Mourning releases tribute to Ben E. King with cover of Stand By Me

May 1, 2015

Sadly we learned of the passing of the great Ben E. King. What an amazing musician who inspired so many will be remembered.  We want to share with you a spectacular cover from September Mourning of the classic Ben E. King hit, Stand By Me. What a wonderful tribute to the late Ben E. King. September comments on Revolver, “With dramatic dark lyrics that show glimpses of hope and redemption, I couldn’t resist a reinterpretation of this standard. It begged for a dynamic dramaticism that we couldn’t resist bringing to life.” Check out the cover here: In case you missed it, check out our interview with September Mourning from NAMM 2015. In case you haven’t already seen it, check out their video for their powerful new single, Children Of Fate. It is like a heavy dose of cinematic hard rock that captures your attention. CIMINO head back in the studio and get their new song by sending them to Rockfest 2015

April 30, 2015

One of our favorite bands, CIMINO have headed back in to the studio to record new music. We are so excited and can’t wait for what is in store with this hard working non stop rockin band. Here is the latest from CIMINO: As of April 2nd, 2015 CIMINO have entered the studio and began tracking for their next release. Conceptually, the band has taken a completely different approach overall in the writing, recording and engineering process. The group concurs that the project is completely unlike anything they’ve done thus far. “It’s still Rock and Roll, we’re still playing the same instruments, and our sound is still unique and identifiable to previous releases, but that’s about it,” says CIMINO. The influences for this record are a little bit more Rolling Stones, a little bit less Shinedown, and it really does show. We’re recording them in the fashion that they were intended when written. In regard to what we’ve recorded so far, there is absolutely no click track, drum triggers, and auto tune, we’re keeping the computer [Read More]

Check out our Interview with Lever

April 22, 2015

We recently introduced you to the great punchy alternative rock sounds of Lever from Chicago. Now we would like to bring you our interview with this rising band so you can get to know them better. * * * * * * * * * Music Junkie Press: Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press. We are loving the new single, Who Cares. Can youtell us more about the song? Jeff:  Thanks! Well, I came up with the guitar riff probably a couple of years ago or so, and kept it in my back pocket. I showed it to Mike one day at practice and we just started working on the structure of the song. It was actually one of the first songs that we wrote with Jon when he first joined in early 2014. Out of nowhere he just started singing, “The clocks are ticking in my mind, I wish that I could turn back time”. The song pretty much came together right away as soon as [Read More]
