Otherwise return to Sacramento for a crowd pleasing set!

November 10, 2014

One of our highlights from this year’s Monster Aftershock Festival has returned to Sacramento! Otherwise made a stop last week to perform at Ace of Spades. The crowd was packed as Otherwise and Buckcherry were in town and guaranteed a night full of energetic rock! That is exactly what we got. Otherwise was amazing and the crowd went wild. It was so awesome to see so many fans singing along to the songs, both old and new. They of course played my favorite song, Darker Side of the Moon and it definitely was a crowd favorite as well. Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set:   Otherwise have been extensively touring this year in support of their highly well received album, Peace At All Costs. The album has been solidly on our daily playlist since it’s release, definitely proving it is a MUST HAVE! Otherwise continue to have tour dates added and make sure to see if they are coming to your town. Their music is not only energetic but is uplifting and [Read More]

Pop Evil – Concert Review – Backstage Munich, Nov. 5th, 2014 and Interview with Leigh

November 8, 2014

Concert Review Contributed by Alexandra There was light rain outside and it got pretty cold in Munich that day. A few fans waited outside, when doors opened at 7pm. Show start was scheduled for 8pm. There wasn’t an opening act officially announced for the Germany tour, so it was kind of a surprise, who that would be. It was a local band called Thunder and Blitzkrieg (www.thunderandblitzkrieg.com). You can’t really define their music to a certain style. I’d say it’s hard rock with punk influences. They had a few fans there that knew the lyrics. When they started to play there weren’t really that many people there, but the ones that were seemed to like it.  Check out a slide show of photos from their set:   The room was more crowded, when at 9pm Pop Evil started their set. They were greeted with loud cheers and immediately started with ‚Flawed‘. Their 13  piece set-list consisted mostly of songs from their current record ‘Onyx‘, the album they tour now for almost 2 years. They played [Read More]

Interview with Tom Keifer featuring photos from his show at the Whisky-a-GoGo

November 6, 2014

Tom Keifer has been quite busy touring in support of his highly acclaimed solo record, The Way Life Goes. If you don’t already have it, do yourself a big favor and pick it up. It is filled with rockin tracks featuring his beloved signature vocals and emotionally driven lyrics. It truly takes you on a musical journey highlighting emotions and heart felt songs while satisfying your need for rock. Tom recently played at the Whisky a GoGo in Hollywood last month. This was a show that we had anticipated for months and were so excited for. Unfortunately, with my mother’s health taking a bit of quick turn, we stayed close to home. Our colleague Linda Emord of Eye Shutter 4 U made it out to the show and check out her photos from his spectacular set: We had the chance to interview Tom several days after his show and are pleased to bring that interview to you here: Make sure to check out our interview with Tom from last year shortly after the release of [Read More]

NEW POLITICS return to the legendary Fillmore in SF for their headlining tour

November 5, 2014

Our friends in New Politics have been out on another headlining tour which will take them across the country. Sunday night they made a stop in San Francisco and performed at the legendary Fillmore. It was great to see them headline at the Fillmore when only a few years ago, they were there opening for The Dirty Heads. From the first time, we saw New Politics open for The Spill Canvas at Slim’s in 2010. They blew us away as we dubbed them “Energizer Bunny Meets Nirvana”.   They put on one of the most energetic, engaging sets that you don’t ever want to miss. Once again at the Fillmore, they exceeded all of our expectations and delivered a top notch set. Check out a sneak peek of photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set: Their set included old and new songs which had the crowd brimming with excitement. It was great to hear the crowd singing along to their new song, Everywhere I Go (Kings and Queens) which will be featured on their upcoming new album, VIkings set for [Read More]
