BullyWest proves that nothing can stop their need to Rock!

September 11, 2014

BullyWest, an indie rock band from Oakland may have had to weather a few bumps in the road, but these determined rockers prove that nothing can stand in their way and their need to ROCK! With a sound that blends grunge/rock/alternative/blues/americana and classic rock into their own unique style, they will truly capture your attention. We had the chance to see BullyWest perform at The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, last Saturday night and they blew us a way. I was bummed to have not heard of them before because it would have insured Music Junkie Press’ presence at their performances! The band has had to endure through the recent challenge of having thousands of dollars of their gear stolen at a recent show. This in no way, will stop them from forging ahead. Their fans and friends quickly stepped up with support and they held a benefit concert with Iron Heart, Six Gun Saints and other bands performing at Red Hat. They raised some money but still have an upward climb to replace their gear. [Read More]

An Interview with Adrian Patrick of Otherwise as he brings the light through the darkness

September 7, 2014

We have been very excited about the return of Otherwise to this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival which is right before their new album, Peace At All Costs is released on September 16th. The new album has been garnering a lot of well deserved attention. The first single, Darker Side of the Moon has been quickly climbing the Active Rock charts.  In regards to Darker Side of the Moon, Adrian Patrick had this to say:  “Darker Side of the Moon is just the beginning of the journey that we plan to take with everyone. The Moon is a heavenly body that we’ve come to cherish and worship throughout our meager lives… but there is another side to it that most of us know nothing about. We hope that our album Peace At All Costs will help the world navigate the depths of its own darkness and break through into the Light on the other side.” We recently had the chance to talk with frontman Adrian Patrick about the new album and their upcoming tour. Spiralarms rock the Great American Music Hall for the Jason Becker Not Dead Yet Festival 3

September 2, 2014

One of our favorite bands, Spiralarms performed this past Saturday at the Jason Becker Not Dead Yet Festival 3. The event which is put together by Dave Lopez and is a benefit with proceeds going towards medical supplies for Jason as well as his future care. It was a magical night where many great musicians came to honor the amazing fighting spirit of Jason as he battles ALS. Jason was in attendance with his family and friends as we all enjoyed a fantastic night of amazing music. We will be sharing our coverage of the event all week to include sets by Michael Lee Firkins, Ben Woods,  Richie Kotzen and Steve Hunter. For now, I want to share with you our coverage of Spiralarms as they raised the roof off the Great American Hall and treated the crowd to an energetic hard rockin set. They were spot on and sounded as fierce as ever. Craig  was spectacular as he shreds out on the guitar and delivers some killer tone and bad ass riffs.  They even played [Read More]

We love the new video out for Everything Man and we love it! How was it making the video, looked like a lot of fun? Greg: It was an amazing experience for us all filming Everything Man! We ended up doing three days of shooting at so many different locations, including lugging all of our gear up eight flights of stairs to the roof top of a building in south philly. So worth it though! We couldn’t be happier with the shots we [Read More]
