Pistol Day Parade exceed all my expectations as they open for Ted Nugent on the Shut Up and Jam Tour!

July 16, 2014

We recently told you about the spectacular set that Ted Nugent put on for his Shut Up & Jam Tour this past weekend in Sunday. Now when you have such a excellent showman as Ted performing, not just any opening rock band will do. You need to have one that delivers an intense set and at 150% power overload.  Ted Nugent surely picked out the perfect band to open for him. One of our favorite rock bands, Pistol Day Parade was chosen for the opening slot on the tour. We made it out to the July 13th show at the Grove in Anaheim. Let me tell you, we were exhausted after the 7-1/2 hour drive but as soon as we made it to the venue, our spirits and energy picked right up. We had the opportunity to chat with Pistol Day Parade before their set. We are pleased to bring you that interview here: Shortly after our interview the guys made it to the stage and they kicked off the set with high energy. I have been [Read More]

Eyes Set To Kill cancel July dates as Anissa recovers from blood clot, wishing her a full recovery!

July 16, 2014

Eyes Set To Kill are one of our favorite bands. They are such a hard working band and have been busy touring in support of their current album, MASKS. We saw them perform earlier this year in San Francisco at the DNA Lounge. They were amazing and completely blew the crowd with th eir high energetic set! Just last week, bass player Anissa Rodriguez was taken to the hospital for problems with her eye as they were performing at the Aftershock Bar & Grill in Merriam, KS. When we first got word that she was diagnosed with a blood clot behind her eye, we were hoping that things would get better from that serious situation. After being hospitalized, she has now been released so she can return to her home in Arizona and recover from. We wish you a full and speedy recovery Anissa!!!! She will be on bed rest for the next couple of weeks.  Pictures of her eye and in the hospital can be seen on the bands Facebook page.  The band has officially [Read More]

Texas Hippie Coalition show them how it’s done at Rockstar Mayhem Fest

July 10, 2014

Last weekend we covered the Rockstar Mayhem Festival as it made it’s stop in the Bay Area at the Shoreline Amphitheater. It was a long wild day filled with awesome bands and one band that is grabbing everyone’s attention is the Texas Hippie Coalition. We featured them last month along with a band interview that you can check it out here. They performed to a packed crowd and it was awesome to see the great reception that this Red Dirt Metal received from everyone. They tore up the stage as they brought an ass whoopin to the crowd. They raised the heat as everyone was embracing their heavy metal classic rock sound. It was intense and I couldn’t wait to catch them again. They are one of those bands that right after you see them, you are on an immediate high and contemplating when and where you will get to see them next!! Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set here: Texas Hippie Coalition will be playing on the entire tour [Read More]
