Global rocker Eric Zayne sits down with Music Junkie Press and it’s a wild ride, by Patrick O’Heffernan

March 2, 2014

Global rocker Eric Zayne sits down with Music Junkie Press and it’s a wild ride. by Patrick O’Heffernan, Host, Music FridayLive! Unbridled, unleashed and almost uncontrolled enthusiastic talent -that is Eric Zayne and his electronica-influenced, soul and blues-infused, pop-inflected and sometimes just plain over the top creative funk/pop/rock. I first saw him live at a pre-Grammy Party in LA and knew this was a talent going places fast.  We talked afterwards about his gig at Sundance and his upcoming gigs and recordings.  Eric and his band can turn on a dime from infectious alt. pop to ballads with a twist. He is always trailblazing, always out of the box and into your pleasure centers. Put on your headphones, clear out the dance floor, forget everything you think  you know about rock and pop. Whether he is live onstage or erupting from a EP,  Eric Zayne’s music mainlines a pure dose of the most unique sound  coming out of the LA rock scene today directly into your brain.  Patrick O’Heffernan, Host of Music Friday interviewed Eric [Read More]

Peter London delivers ‘The Feel Good’ album of 2014 with America

March 2, 2014

Our very own San Francisco favorite singer/songrwriter Peter London has recently released his  new CD America .  Peter is an avid animal lover and has used his gift of music to raise awareness and funds for a refuge animal center through Pets in Need. The end result is that Peter has not only helped a great cause but has succeeded in creating what could be the ‘feel good’ album of the year. The album takes you  on a primarily acoustic musical journey that brings you a variety of songs ranging from raw emotional tunes, sweet folk songs, modern rock to alternative rock tracks. One thing is for sure, through all the songs, each one will bring a smile to your face and warmth in your heart. Here are some of my favorites even though the whole album is fantastic from start to finish (including the bonus tracks!): America starts right off with a great passion filled song and the vocals will grab you and embrace your soul. You can literally close your eyes and feel [Read More]

February 21, 2014

Our NAMM 2014 coverage still continues. One of the highlights of our NAMM 2014 coverage was to interview 3/4 members of We are Harlot. We Are Harlot took home our Number 1 Spot on our countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014 and believe me they will definitely be proving us right this year. We Are Harlot is a band that has been 2 years in the making and the time is now for them. We Are Harlot  is Danny Wornsop (Asking Alexandria) on Vocals, Brian Weaver (SilverTide) on Bass, Bruno Agra on Drums and our very own Day 1 of 12 Days of Guitarists; Jeff George (Sebastian Bach) on Guitar. We first heard the news of We Are Harlot last year and also had the opportunity to chat with Jeff George as  he told us how We Are Harlot began. You can read that interview here. During NAMM we were able to grab Danny, Jeff and Brian for a quick interview. We are pleased to bring it to you here:   Here is an excerpt of [Read More]
