Consider Me Dead launche pre-orders, debut new song and announce tour dates!

Consider Me Dead

It is a busy day for our friends in Consider Me Dead. Today they have launched their pre-orders for their upcoming debut LP, Young at Heart which is set for an April 8th release date. You can head over here and get your order in today! I had the chance to listen to it in it’s entirety and it is amazing! It really takes this band to a new level and will have you blown away. Brandon Pettitt says, “It’s a side of CMD that you’ve never heard before” and Chris Brewington adds, “We tried to create something nobody has ever done before.”

You can also head over to PureVolume and take a listen to their new song, Like Thunder which they are premiering today. Consider Me Dead have also announced they will be joining their friend, Farewell My Love and The Venetia Fair for the “We Own The Night Tour”. The tour starts off in Boise, Idaho on April 18th. We are looking forward to catching them as they stop in at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco on April 22nd.

In case you missed our interview with Consider Me Dead here is a repost:

Music Junkie Press:  Thank you guys for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press. Let’s get started! I  know it is hard for musicians to play favorites but is there a particular song that really is special for each of you and why?

Chris:  We all really enjoy Digital Demons. The song’s raw energy is amazing. Everyone can feel like they’re in too deep at some point.
Brandon:  The song is about overcoming your demons.

Music Junkie Press:   You guys truly have an amazingly dedicated fan base and you guys do a fantastic job at staying connected with them. Will we continue to be seeing more of the YOUNOW video chats?

Kevin:  Honestly, the connection with our fans means everything to us. Without them we could’nt be doing any of this.
Chris:  Yes we will be doing the YouNow Chats every Monday with #TeamCMD
Brandon:   We love hanging out with you guys every week!

Music Junkie Press:   You make our Mondays worthwhile! Us here at Music Junkie Press believe in the power of music as a healer, helper, strengthener and so much more. Can you recall a specific time where music helped you or healed you through something and can you share the story with us?

Kevin:   Music is our figurative drug. We always turn to music during hard times. One time in particular, we were beyond sick on tour and having a rough time getting through the shows. I just remember all us listening to The Used and Taking Back Sunday, while thinking to myself “I know these guys were in the same situations, but they fought through it and so can I.”

Music Junkie Press:  If we could peak into your Ipod, what artist or song might we be most surprised at finding in there?

Chris:   The Starting Line
Brandon:   Man, that new Behemoth record is sick!
Kevin:   Wiz Khalifa

Music Junkie Press:   With all the amazing covers and remakes out there, if Consider Me Dead could take a song from a completely different genre and turn it into your own style, what would it be?

Kevin:  Boys of Summer by Don Henley!
Chris:  All The Things She Said by TATU from a male perspective would be awesome. I’ve always thought it could be very dramatic and heavy!
Brandon:   Plus it’s already about a girl!

Music Junkie Press:   You have an upcoming show at the Underground in March, will you be playing songs off your new album?

Kevin:   Yes! Almost the entire new album!
Chris:   We’re also playing in Hollywood on April 11 @ Space 15 Twenty!
Brandon:  Shhh that’s our Top Secret Album Release Show! Details coming soon!

Music Junkie Press:  All the songs on the album are amazing, can you tell me more about Lift You Up? That song is awesome!

Chris:   Lift You Up is a very special to us. The song talks about loving yourself and being happy with yourself, before others. You have to believe in yourself before anyone can believe in you, but if you need a little boost, we’re here to lift you up.

Music Junkie Press:   Do you have any tours in the works?

Brandon:  Yes! We are working on a bunch of stuff for 2014, but it’s a secret right now!

Music Junkie Press:   If Consider Me Dead became a new comic book, what would each of your Super Hero Names be and what would be your Super Powers?

Kevin:   I would be THE MINDS EYE. A boy from AZ who can read your every thought!
Brandon:   I would be WIZARD O’CLOCK. I would travel throughout time to save the Universe!
Chris:  I just want to be able to teleport whenever, and wherever I want! They would call me TELEPORTATION MAN!

Music Junkie Press:   I know that many musicians have some crazy song writing practices, do you guys have any song writing rituals or pre-show rituals?

Brandon:   We don’t have a writing ritual. Songs are created at the most random times. I could hear a chorus while I’m riding my bike, or feel a beat while eating dinner with my sister.
Chris:   But we definitely have a before show ritual! We like to huddle up, jump around, yell and get crazy to get in the right mindset!

Music Junkie Press:   For those that don’t know, can you share how you came up with your name Consider Me Dead?

Chris:   For all the crazy back stories band’s have for their name’s, ours is pretty boring. One day Brandon brought up the name Consider Me Dead and it stuck!

Music Junkie Press:   Lastly, is there something you would like to share with our audience and your fans?

Kevin:  We can’t begin to share our appreciation for the daily support. We love you and it means the world to us!
Chris:  Yeah, Thank You! We strongly believe in positive thinking and we strongly encourage you to as well.
Brandon:  And, oh yeah, we have a new album called “Young At Heart” coming out April 8th
Chris:  Can’t wait to see you guys on tour! Talk to us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

Music Junkie Press:   Thank you guys and we will make sure to share the links to all your social media accounts and we look forward to next Monday’s YouNow Chat!
