Fates Warning announces a new album “Darkness in a Different Light” which is set to release on October 1st, 2013. Here is the cover art for the new album by the US Progressive Metal band, It has been almost 10 years sine we last heard from Fates Warning with their release of “FWX“.  FATES WARNING vocalist Ray Alder checked in with a comment as follows: “Darkness in a Different Light” is the result of almost two years of very hard work from everyone in the band.  I believe that this line-up is the best that Fates has ever had, and I also think that it comes through in the music on this album. It’s been almost nine years since our last studio album and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished here. We are looking very much forward to playing some new songs for our fans who have stuck by us over all these years. A Story Beneath releases new video for “All in My Head”

August 1, 2013

One of my favorite bands that I told you about in a post back in May  that includes an interview with Phil Goff, has recently released a video for their kick ass song, “All in  My Head” which is from their new EP Beneath the Skin, and you can check it out here: A Story Beneath is an incredible band from Santa Clarita, California. Phil Goff is on Guitar and Vocals, Toddy Libby on Bass and Keys, and Markus Flick on drums. These three guys come together with driving rhythms, melodic chords blended with some powerful rock reminiscent of Silverchair, early Tool and Incubus but they definitely have a sound of their own.  Once you start listening to them, believe me, you might not stop. I told you about one of my Go To songs which is  “Chamelion”. This song just gets up in me and has me revived in an instant.  You can get their new EP right on CDBaby here. So make sure to check them on their social media sites and check out their new [Read More]

Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals Make a Kid’s Wish Come True!

August 1, 2013

Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals did something very special last night at their Tulsa, Oklahoma performance. They worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and brought up young Peyton Arens who is battling a rare form of  Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer to play with them onstage. They hooked him up with a guitar and they played the infamous PANTERA track, “WALK”.  You can check out the video for it here:   Phil posted on his Instagram a couple photos of the band playing with Peyton as well as a quick video. Here is one: You can check out more on Peyton and donate to help fund childhood cancer research here.  As quoted on the Prey For Peyton page: “On a personal note, we are very proud of Peyton. He has maintained a great attitude since he was diagnosed. He is a fighter and we are so proud of how brave he has been. Not once has Peyton complained nor has he asked “why me”. Keep up the fight Peyton. We love you!”  Peyton definitely is a bad ass [Read More]

WARBRINGER set to release new album October 15th, IV: Empires Collapse

July 31, 2013

Los Angeles based heavy Metal band, WARBRINGER have announced the release date for their release of their next masterpiece, IV: Empires Collapse. They band has been locked away for the past few months  in The Omen Room studio with producer Steve Evetts (Dillinger Escape Plan, Sepultura, Symphony X).  The release date is set for October 15th through Century Media Records. What is exciting about this album is that each of the five members brought something for the rest of the group to work on and together they challenged themselves and their abilities to combine their talents and create a combined work of art.  Carlos Cruz, drummer explained more about the recording process, “Musically, all five of us brought something for the rest of the group to work off of and we were all a part of chiseling away at the ideas”. Having five band members with eclectic tastes in music from Crust Punk to Progressive music and everything in between brought about new musical directions for the material.” Another exciting thing about this record making process is that WARBRINGER has [Read More]
