British Glam-Rocker The Struts and celebrated singer/songwriter Paris Jackson collaborated for a brand-new track “Low Key In Love”. The focus of the song is the vocal interaction between Jackson and Struts-frontman Luke Spiller, who also plays in the video for the song. “Low Key In Love” is available on all streaming platforms. Check it out:
Produced by Tommy English, “Low Key In Love” offers everything you can wish for in a Rock’n’Roll duett. With a dreamy scenery of golden guitar sounds and low grooves, Spiller and Jackson tell the tale of a tequila-soaked night where both characters try to hide their feelings from the one they obviously adore.
“”Low Key In Love” was written after a date in Los Angeles in the 70’s retro bar ‘Good Times at Davey Wayne’s”, Spiller says. “I walked to the studio and explained, that the song should describe the feeling you sense, when you enter a bar and you suck up the mood there. When we decided to turn it into a duett, I thought back to this night and remembered that Paris played a brilliant acoustic-set. Something in me told me that everything happens for a reason, so I decided to send her a message. I’m certain that some things are written in the stars. To bring Paris into the game gave the song a brand new dimension and really brought the story to life. She is brilliant and beautiful. A Star.”
“I first heard about The Struts when I saw Mötley Crüe a few years back at their last gig on New Year’s Eve at the Staples Center. The guys opened and I had no idea that it would be this incredibly good”, says Jackson. “I remember, turning around to a friend and saying: “Who the hell are those guys? I was so overwhelmed by their talent, stage presence and energy. It felt as if I had done a time travel into the heydays of Rock’n’Roll, like with the Rolling Stones or Queen. From then on I started listening to their music and saw them here and there at events and we have been in friendly contact via online. When Luke asked, if I would like to work with him, it was an instant Yes. It was an honor and a privilege for me to sing on one of their songs, knowing it means so much for Luke. And I’m greatful for the friendship that has arisen from such a beautiful project. It’s different from everything I’ve ever done before, which is exactly the thing you live for.”
