Pick up the new single, Savage Eyes by The Relapse Symphony and crank it up loud!

June 10, 2014

The release of the debut LP by The Relapse Symphony  is less than a month away! What is awesome is that they have just released another song, Savage Eyes from their upcoming album, Shadows which is set to release on July 8th via Standby Records. We have had nothing but high praises for this amazing album. Check out our full album review here. Their first single, We Are The Broken was released and had everyone talking and begging for more! Well of course, they have answered the demand and released Savage Eyes. This track is one of my favorites off the album. It transitions from a heavy metal intro into a hard rock heavy track complete with blazing guitar riffs, amazing vocals, and infectious harmonies. You will be hooked on this one as well.  I can’t wait for the release of the album since it truly is a work of art by these young talented musicians. You can pick it up the new track here on iTunes. Check it out below and crank it up loud:   We had the [Read More]

It is Mayhem Monday and our featured band is KORN!

June 9, 2014

We have less than a month until Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Today for our Mayhem Monday feature, we wanted to spotlight one of our favorite bands, Korn.  I am really looking forward to their set at the Festival. We saw them last year at Aftershock and they were the absolute highlight of the three day festival.  They have such an intense live performance that truly captivates you from start to finish. Their album, The Paradigm Shift had received instant acclaim since it was first released last October and continues to be one of the best Korn albums and the singles continue to rock the charts. You can pick up The Paradigm Shift on iTunes here. One of my favorite songs on the album is  Never, Never and you can check it out here with a tribute video featuring photos by Rockin Ryan:   Korn is: Jonathan Davis – Vocals James Shaffer – Guitar Brian Welch – Guitar Reginald Arvizu – Bass Ray Luzier – Drums So make sure to pick up your tickets for [Read More]

Black Label Society delivers a spine tingling set at Regency Ballroom for Golden Gods Tour

June 8, 2014

What a night! This past Friday, the place to be was at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco for the Revolver Golden Gods Tour. There was a line around the block as everyone came out in full force to catch Black Label Society perform. Also make sure to check out our coverage of the amazing two opening bands, Devil You Know and Butcher Babies. I think it was a sold out show or nearly sold out since earlier that day they had only a 100 or so tickets left. It was packed from front to back, left to right and the entire upstairs was filled with no empty seats. Black Label Society came out and were behind a full stage curtain, and then the lights went up and the curtain came down. Our photographer Rockin Ryan was in the photo pit and got wildly tangled in the rope but he made it out just in time to catch Zakk take center stage!  The crowd went WYLDE as they started with  My Dying Time. There was a full on [Read More]

Black Star Riders KILLED it at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco

May 15, 2014

We were at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco earlier this week to watch one of our favorite bands, State Line Empire play as they were set to open up for Skid Row. In addition to the great warm up by The Devil In California, State Line Empire put on a fantastic set. Then up next was Black Star Riders, if you are not familiar with them as I wasn’t… Black Star Riders is comprised of members of Thin Lizzy…. YES! You heard me right, Thin Lizzy! Black Star Riders began in 2012 as Thin Lizzy announced they would not be recording new material under the Thin Lizzy name. Hence a new band formed, a new name and Black Star Riders was born. In addition to the Thin Lizzy alumni Ricky Warwick (vocals), Scott Gorham (guitar), Damon Johnson (guitar), Marco Mendoza (bass) is Jimmy DeGrasso on drums (Alice Cooper, Megadeth, David Lee Roth, Suicidal Tendencies). The band was amazing and they played an energetic non stop set that have everyone in the audience packed to the front [Read More]

Paul McCartney to returns to SF to play Farewell to Candlestick Park in August!

April 24, 2014

Paul McCartney had a busy year last year for his Get Out There tour that took him to 23 cities across South America, North America, Japan and Europe. He now has plans to return to San Francisco to play a very special Farewell to Candlestick Park on August 14th.  Paul is currently touring South American for his 2014 Out There tour and confirmation has been received that he will be bringing the Out There tour to California. It will be a bittersweet return for Paul to close out the iconic venue, the Beatles played their final concert date on August 29, 1966. The ‘Out There’ tour, as always, features music from the most beloved catalog in popular music, as Paul performs songs spanning his entire career – as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course as a Beatle. The set list will also include material from Paul’s most recent studio album NEW, a global hit upon its release last year. The tour also uses state of the art technology and production to ensure the entire [Read More]
