Hannah Wicklund releases emotionally healing new track, Witness

July 27, 2023

Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Hannah Wicklund is set to release her full length album The Prize on October 13th.  On July 26th, Wicklund released her latest single, Witness, which is off her upcoming album. The song is her most personal to date and about claiming heartbreak, embracing it and using that to heal through some of the toughest times in life. Hannah confesses, “Getting into your first relationship as a strong, driven young woman, it’s very difficult to experience someone dim your light, but even harder to recognize it. Insecurities within young people play out in terrifying ways, and it’s very hard to not absorb other people’s darkness. Witness was the awareness I found in myself that it is not my responsibility to save anyone.” The single arrives accompanied by another of Hannah’s whimsical oil paintings as the single cover art. “With the artwork behind ‘Witness’, I wanted to capture the release of someone from your life; that last look before they are gone. So clearly the castle is my space, and watching ‘him’ go from the front [Read More]

Johnny O’Neil Releases Third Album “Brand New Day”

June 22, 2023

Check out the latest news about the released of Johnny O’Neil’s new album!   MINNEAPOLIS, MN (June 21, 2023) — Johnny O’Neil announces the release of his third album “Brand New Day”. Following on the heels of 2021’s Truth Or Dare, O’Neil’s ambitious debut solo album featuring hard rock tunes that showcase his impeccable songwriting abilities, and the five-song EP, LIVE at the Southern Theater (released in 2022), Brand New Day looks at the world through a slightly different lens. Following the tumultuous events of 2020-21 including the global COVID-19 pandemic, the murder of George Floyd in O’Neil’s hometown of Minneapolis that sparked the largest racial justice protests in the United States since the Civil Rights Movement, and the insurrection on the U.S. Capitol, O’Neil wanted to create an album that sparks rejuvenation and celebrates the fact that we made it through alive, looking ahead optimistically – but without rose-colored glasses – to what comes next. As the final track on the record, the song ends with a gentle flourish of pianos and single drum hit toseamlessly bring listeners back to the start of the record creating an endless loop the way Bain intended. “This is myfavorite song, and I wrote it as a piece ages ago when I was playing the piano and [producer] Chloe would record me playing the piano loads with my dog on my lap,” saidAmber Bain. “We sat on the music for ages then Katie from MUNA came down to the studio and put the rambling lyrics over music in a Joni [Read More]
