Nova Twins announce new album and release new single “K.M.B.” today

February 2, 2022

Today, genre-bending heavy alt-rock duo Nova Twins (guitarist/vocalist Amy Love and bassist Georgia South) have announced details of their highly anticipated sophomore album. Aptly titled “Supernova” the album is set for release through Marshall Records on June 17th. The band will be touring France in early March and has rescheduled the rest of their European dates to August & November. Keep scrolling to see the dates. “Supernova” is a piece of work that’s fearlessly itself – once again playing with genre and rich in different moods, textures, and layers, all the while retaining that purity and simplicity of the essential elements: South, Love, bass, guitars, drums, and a whole lot of energy. Ultimately, it captures the tension and release that we’ve all been through lately while imagining what’s to come. Speaking on the album, Amy and Georgia said, “‘Supernova’ is the beginning of a new era. As we delved into the unknown, making this album became our medicine through a turbulent time. It’s a reflection of where we were and how far we have come, [Read More]

Puppy announce brand-new album and share new single “… And Watched It Glow”

January 31, 2022

London three-piece PUPPY can today announce that their brand new, 2nd album “Pure Evil” will be released on May 6th through Rude Records. Ahead of that, the band has also released a huge new single and video “…And Watched It Glow”, which is out today, Monday 31st January. The single had its world exclusive premiere last night on Radio 1 with the Rock Show and is the 3rd single to be taken from “Pure Evil” following on from “Angel” and “The Kiss“, both last year (with the latter picking up plays with Radio 1’s Jack Saunders and Clara Amfo, as well as being listed by Revolver Magazine as a track of the week). “Pure Evil” is an album created, like so much music and art the last few years, from a forced upon circumstance. Whilst obviously not influencing any of it in any way, the current pandemic has certainly created a specific path for PUPPY and this brilliant album, for good and bad. Vocalist and guitarist Jock Norton explains a bit about marrying creative drive [Read More]

American Hi-Fi release cover of Squeeze’s “Another Nail In My Heart”

July 31, 2020

Today, American Hi-Fi are releasing their cover of Squeeze’s 1980 single, “Another Nail in My Heart”. A loud and energetic take on the new-wave hit. “Another Nail in My Heart” is American Hi-Fi’s third cover release this summer, following recent reimaginings of Madness’ “Our House” and Joe Jackson’s “Steppin’ Out”. Frontman Stacy Jones shares: “’Another Nail in my Heart’ is a perfect example of the songcraft that makes Squeezeso beloved. How many other pop tunes go to a ripping guitar solo right after the first chorus?!?! As with the covers we’ve recently released, this is one of those tunes that I’ve sung in the shower ad nauseam, and now I hope people will crank up our version and do the same!”. All three cover songs will be featured on American Hi-Fi’s upcoming covers EP, “Anywhere Else But Here”, due out on August 7 via Rude Records. “We chose them because this is the music that we grew up on” continues Jones. “These are the artists that made us want to pick up drum sticks, plug in a Jazzmaster, and make a fucking racket with our best friends until the neighborhood shut us down.  And that tenet [Read More]
