J.S. Ondara releases introspective new video for his track, American Dream

Nigerian born J.S. Ondara has just released an introspective video for his lead single, American Dream off his upcoming debut album. Tales of America. ales of America, due February 1 on Verve Forecast, is an examination of the American Dream from an outsider’s perspective; an introspection on a universal matter. The completely acoustic album was produced by Grammy-nominated Mike Viola (Ryan Adams, Jenny Lewis) and recorded at Boulevard Recording and East West Studios in Los Angeles. All lyrics were written by Ondara and the album features collaborations with artists including Andrew Bird, Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith of Dawes and Joey Ryan of The Milk Carton Kids. Last night the Never-Ending Summer Tour hit the Shoreline Amphitheater. It was the first night of the tour and they kicked it off right here in the Bay Area for a night of high energy and non-stop hits. Patrick O’Heffernan (Hollywood) Pure, unconditional love. That is the only way to describe the sold-out crowd at the last concert of ZZ Ward’s Storm Tour in the Fonda Theater Thursday night. Many of those fans had traveled hundreds of miles to see her and they let her know how much they loved her. And Ward returned the love many times over. Striding on stage after a killer set by Black Pistol Fire, rocking her signature Fedora, studded black leather low rider pants and a skin colored sleeveless top, Ward launched into “Let It Burn” with an intensity that got the audience screaming in the first verse. When she pulled out her harmonica the screaming went nonstop. We are hooked on the new track, Bender from Ramonda Hammer. It is an addictive track that brings together grunge and rock and swaddles it in 90’s alternative vibes and singes it with pop catchiness. We love it! The song is off their new EP Destroyers which is set for an August 4th release.
