Quick chat with Brev Sullivan of Snakebite

February 5, 2015

We had the pleasure of running into one of our favorite musicians, Brev Sullivan at NAMM 2015. We were so excited to see him and couldn’t wait to get an update from him as to what he is working on. Check out our quick chat with Brev here:   In addition, we got to listen to the new Snakebite album, Feel The Bite. It was great to listen to it on the ride home with several other musicians. The concensus was in, we all LOVED it and it completely rocks. First, there is something about having the actual CD in your and hold that tangible piece of music history. We actually played it several times on our 8 hour drive. It was great to hear it several times and you really get to find new favorites each time. It was old school rock n roll but in way dated. You had passionate vocals, sweet sexy guitars and songs that were soon to become part of my regular playlist. With songs like Rock n Roll Will [Read More]

Interview with NiteRain on the Sunset Strip during their debut trip to America

January 31, 2015

It was in 2013 when we first introduced you to NiteRain as one of Tuesdays Travels features.   Here is an excerpt from that post: “This week, I have incredible ’80s inspired rock band from Oslo, Norway as our Tuesdays Travels Pick.  They are NiteRain and they have an amazing sound. Their music reminds me of catching early Motley Crue out on the Sunset Strip in the ’80s.  Early Vince Neil style vocals, Kick ass guitar riffs, slamming bass and energetic drums. Together you have the intense rock n roll of NiteRain.” NiteRain is Adrien Persen on Guitar, Sebastian Tvedtnaes on Vocals, Morten Garberg on Drums and Frank Karlsen on Bass. They have been known to have explosive stage presence and deliver high velocity sleaze rock. These guys are definitely in the running to take over the glam sleaze rock scene! They have had great success in touring with L.A. Guns across Europe and we hope they come out here to the US soon. Their glam infused rock is just as contagious as their fierce energy and is [Read More]

November 8, 2014

One of our favorite rock bands,  Switchblade Serenade have announced new music for the coming year. They have announced that they will be releasing a new EP and it will have a heavier modern sound. These guys are incredible musicians and I know one thing, they are unstoppable and we can’t wait to hear their new music.  They released the following statement on their Facebook page which tells a bit more of the vision of the band and the evolution of their new sound: Over the past few months we have had some changing thoughts on what we want Switchblade Serenade to be. Since we started we have been labeled as an “80’s glam/sleaze tribute band etc.”. We never set out to be anything like that. In our earlier years our influence of bands like Motley Crue and Guns N’ Roses was more prominent in our writing style. However we never wanted to be a so called “80’s Band”. We have been getting tired of being labeled as such and we wanted to let our other [Read More]
