The new album from Bumblefooot is out now!

Guitar virtuoso extraordinaire, singer/songerwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal has just released his 10th CD today. His album, Little Brother Is Watching  is out now and is definitely one to pick up. The album features Bumblefoot’s extraordinary guitar playing but also his passionate vocals that create such a connection with the listener. We had the chance to talk with Bumblefoot earlier this month and you can check out our interview here: The album is an eccentric, upbeat collection of modern epic rock with haunting melodies, huge choruses and witty lyrics about life in the digital age and beyond. John 5 delivers an epic flawless set at sold out San Francisco show!

One of my favorite guitarists who we have featured many times here on Music Junkie Press has conquered the DNA Lounge in San Francisco!  Yes, that is right John 5 guitarist extraordinaire made his debut performance at the DNA Lounge for the second show of his instrumental solo tour. What a show it was! Absolutely epic performance from John 5 & The Creatures. The Above DNA which is known for it’s energy harnessing environment was packed to capacity as John 5 delivered a flawless, awe inspiring and jaw dropping instrumental performance.  His set which was rich in diversity and included all types of his playing; shred, fast and furious riffs, thrash, metal, sweep picking, teeth plucking and everything in between.  The crowd was equally as diverse as it had young ones from 6 years old to seasoned rockers, men and women were in attendance for this special show. Guitar virtuouso Robben Ford announces new album

Guitar virtuouso Robben Ford is set to release his new album, Into The Sun via Mascot Label Group on March 31st. The new album will highlight Robben’s artful contemporary songwriting and his spectacular playing in an 11 song set that he describes, “one of the top recordings I’ve ever done”. This new release will incorporate his timeless vocabulary of jazz, pop, blues and rock into a modern framework for his poetic lyrics and the most graceful, emotionally nuanced and melodic vocal performances of his career. All of the music and most of the lyrics come from Robben  but he also collaborated with ZZ Ward on “Breath Of Me” and enlisted the enigmatic Kyle Swan, whose own recordings liberally mix images and styles to build articulate modernist-pop tone poems. We had the pleasure of running into one of our favorite musicians, Brev Sullivan at NAMM 2015. We were so excited to see him and couldn’t wait to get an update from him as to what he is working on. SLASH set to perform Bent To Fly tomorrow night on Conan

Slash and his band featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators are set to perform tomorrow night, Thursday February 5th on Conan.
