Hardcore singer shows his soft side with his new emotionally driven EP

January 6, 2015

We featured Singer Guitarist Michael Guerrero last year with  his hardcore band, A Hero To Fall. They are a great band that we can’t wait to see more of in 2015.  Now, we wanted to shine the spotlight on his current solo project, Long Lost Love. Michael shows his softer side as his new EP, Nostalgia, brings to life beautiful emotionally driven tracks. Michael’s powerful vocals show their vulnerable side as his songs capture emotion and captivate the listener. Michael brings himself back to where it all began, writing songs on an acoustic. He not only continues on with both projects, but he has been pursuing his degree in Early Childhood Education while working full time on A Hero to Fall and Long Lost Love. We congratulate Michael on his new project and really look forward to more music. So take a listen and check out his lyric video for his first song, Gangsta On The Roof from his EP. You will find yourself getting whisked away as he takes you on a heartfelt journey [Read More]

Day 12 of 12 Days of Vocalists goes to Zakk Wylde

December 26, 2014

This is it! Our last day of 12 Days of Vocalists and our featured artist actually was featured on our 12 Days of Guitarists last year! The honor goes to the MOST BAD ASS GUITARIST… AND VOCALIST…. Zakk Wylde!!!  Zakk has a voice that is not only powerful but brings out true honesty in his vocals. He conjures up a whirlwind of emotion as he sings with his grizzled tone. He has a rich quality in his voice that conveys everything from hard hitting in your face hard rock, soulful blues, powerful metal edge to a soft heart warming tone that will make your heart dance and flutter. This has been another busy year for Zakk.  He released with Black Label Society, “Catacombs of the Vatican (Deluxe Edition)“. The release delivered a heavy dose of hard rock after their highly successful mostly acoustic release, Unblackened , live DVD/Blue Ray and CD.  With all the great new music out, it led to a year of non stop touring that took Zakk across the country as well as on a [Read More]

One of the coolest guitarists in metal, Chris Broderick has announced his departure from Megadeth. Chris posted the following statement on his website: Due to artistic and musical differences, it is with great reluctance that I announce my departure from Megadeth to pursue my own musical direction. I want all of you to know how much I appreciate the amount that you the fans have accepted and respected me as a member of Megadeth for the last seven years, but it is time for me to move on. I wish Dave and everyone in Megadeth all the best. I am working on a few things of my own and hope that when they come out, you will all dig it. Michael Lee Firkins announces new tour dates

September 23, 2014

One of our highlights from the Jason Becker Not Dead Yet 3 was the great performance by Michael Lee Firkins.  It was amazing as always to watch and Michael is captivating on guitar. He brought the perfect fusion of blues and rock to life at the venue and everyone was enjoying it. Michael has announced a string of tour dates for October and November. Check out the dates below and see if he will be coming to a venue near you: To get you ready, check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of Michael’s performance at the Jason Becker Not Dead Yet 3.  When Michael plays, you are drawn to him as he stuns the crowd with his slide playing, singing and fueling the crowd with funky rockin blues. The notes and tones he brings out truly highlight the extreme talent as a guitar player. I would highly recommend you picking up his latest album, Yep which was released last October.
