The Halo Method takeover the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood Nov. 7th!

November 1, 2013

The Halo Method is a rock band from Hollywood & Nashville and is definitely one you  have to be on the look out for. They are rapidly gaining recognition and I am so glad to see it all  happen. I first heard them a couple months back and put them on my list of bands to keep a close eye on. Well of course, things have been so busy that I haven’t taken the time to look at that list. Then, I heard their name again in an interview with Jonny  Hetherington of Art of Dying and was so glad I did. Even in those short months, they have accomplished a lot.  They have been busy working on their debut EP that will take the music world by storm. The Halo Method is Lukas Rossi (Rockstar Supernova), Ben Moody (Evanescence, We Are the Fallen), Dave Buckner (Papa Roach), and Josh Newell. Their music not only delivers a blend of hard rock, alternative, metal, goth and more, but their lyrics also tell incredible stories and take you on a journey through [Read More]

Jonny Hetherington of Art of Dying talks with us about pianos, Sinatra and new album!

November 1, 2013

Rockers, Art of Dying from Canada have a constant spot on my daily music playlist.  Their music not only kicks ass in rock n roll but also have such emotionally charged lyrics that many can connect and relate to.  I personally, have experienced the power of healing through music by listening to my favorite Art of Dying songs at one of the hardest times in my life. It truly is music to feed your soul wrapped in blazing rock and roll.  Art of Dying is Jonny Hetherington on Vocals, Greg Bradley on Guitar, Jeff Brown on Drums, Cale Gontier on Bass/Vocals and Tavis Stanley on Guitar and Vocals. Recently, frontman Jonny Hetherington has released piano versions of a couple of their songs. God For a Day, a heartfelt favorite of mine, is now available on Itunes. You can pick it up here as well as Best I Can which is amazing too!  We recently had the chance to talk with Jonny about his piano songs and what is next in store for Art of Dying. [Read More]

Against All Will new single, Another Nail in the Coffin is out now!

November 1, 2013

A lot of my favorite songs are by Against All Will and they have another one out that I am lovin! They have recently released their new single, “Another Nail In The Coffin” and it is available on Itunes.  The song has just been added to the Digital Streams via IHeart Radio on the Clear Channel Rock Stations as well as being picked up on radio stations across the country. This song has been on replay for a couple days now and I am just drawn to the incredible vocals by Mizzy Pacheco as he has returned to the band as frontman.  Jimmy Allen delivers his amazing guitar hooks and riffs that have you rockin out! Steve Wilson on drums creates some great build-up in the song and Cello Dias on bass brings it all together with his solid basslines. Check it out on Youtube here:   It definitely is a great one that you have to check out and share!  So head over to Itunes and pick it up. Also head over to their social [Read More]

Check out Mick James new video for “Speeding Like a Fiend”

October 31, 2013

Last week I was going to feature a great new video for “Speeding Like a Fiend” from highly noted singer/songwriter/musician/actor/producer/engineer, Mick James. Mick has been highly successful in many careers as well as has his own studio, Freedom of Speech Recording Studios in New York. Unfortunately, last week as I was about to post his video, it was taken off by Youtube for whatever reasons they claim.  It is quite ironic that Mick, someone who truly believes in Freedom of Speech and then yet, becomes a victim of it by the video platform. The video has since returned to Youtube but they had to start over again and lose all the original views.  We asked Mick about the video takedown and he had this to say, “I do feel I have been a victim of haters. It seems the more popular you get the more people try & tear you down. I have seen much worse on Youtube.  They had no problem letting me put it back up It just had to start over again. So I [Read More]
