We have been hearing a lot of news about Billy Idol and his plans for a new album. He recently released that the title of the album is ‘Return To Splendor’ and is set for an October release. The album will be released on the BFI label.  We are very excited for the new album. Billy tweeted earlier this month that he was finishing vocals on a couple of the tracks and it is nearing completion. Here is the latest tweet with the album title:   Billy has a couple US dates and then they are off to tour in Europe. Dates for Europe are listed below.  We look forward to October and to Billy adding US Tour Dates after they return from overseas! Seeing Billy Idol perform two back to back shows in San Francisco in 2010 was the highlight of my concert coverages and it has been way toooooo long! I need my Billy fix! Social 66 delivers high energy Rock n Roll with their debut album!

March 28, 2014

Social 66 are set to release their self titled album on April 1st via Pavement Entertainment and get ready… IT ROCKS!  Social 66 are based in Ohio, West Virginia, and North Carolina, Social 66 was created with intent to write and record good hard rock songs, with loud guitars and undeniable hooks! Jason O’Daniel on Lead Vocals/Guitar, Se7en on Guitar/Vocals, Eric Seevers on bass/vocals and Joe Bailey on drums. Their album starts right off with my personal top fave, Crash N Burn comes on strong with raw vocals and heavy guitars. It is a bad ass rock song! Only Me is a fantastic song complete with cool drum intro, fierce guitars and vocals that create the perfect edge to the song reminiscent of P.O.D.  This just might be my favorite song off the album, definitely a heavier song. Until We Fade is another highlight on the album with emotionally driven lyrics blended with their energetic guitars, heavy drumming and a sweet piano finish. One in the Same is another one of my favorite songs. It brings a [Read More]

Steel Panther’s new album ALL YOU CAN EAT is a face melting, panty droppin, baby makin album!

March 26, 2014

We have all been waiting anxiously for the new album All You Can Eat by Steel Panther and the time is almost among us! Only SIX more days to go!!! Well, as I told you last week about my secret… I got to hear the entire new album and have to say one thing…….. HOLY BALLS! THIS ALBUM IS FUCKING AWESOME!!   It has everything you could want in rock and metal from anthemic rock songs, arena size ballads, blazing guitars, great harmonies, power house drums, sexy bass lines and those 80s style vocals that we can’t get enough of. There are some bad ass guitar solos, smokin riffs, catchy choruses, I just can’t tell you how epic this album will be.  The songs are fun and infectious and you can’t help but love them. Definitely a party album for any night of the week.  If they had a panty meter for this album, it would be a full on soaking wet one for this new album!  We will have to watch out for the [Read More]

Smashing Pumpkins sign deal with BMG and set to release 2 new albums in 2015

March 26, 2014

Smashing Pumpkins announced yesterday via their social networks that they have signed an Artists Services deal with BMG. Smashing Pumpkins will be releasing 2 new albums in 2015: MONUMENTS TO AN ELEGY and DAY FOR NIGHT. The first single is expected to be released by year’s end. Recording sessions have already began and as BILLY CORGAN says, “For those interested in sound, think: ‘guitars, guitars, guitars, and more guitars’ but more so on the epic side of things than say, grossly metallic.”  We can’t wait to see what they have in store for us with these two new albums. Corgan also tells us that,  “Manning the boards will be producer Howard Willing, with whom I first had the pleasure of working with during the Adore sessions. We expect a single out by year’s end.” Smashing Pumpkins were formed back in 1988 and have had quite a successful music career, having sold more than 30 million albums, and won multiple Grammy Awards in the process. If you have never been to a Smashing Pumpkins concert, then you have missed out on some of the best live [Read More]
