Crossfaith release new single “Feel Alive”

October 12, 2021

Japanese genre-blenders Crossfaith, have released a brand new single “Feel Alive”. Speaking of the song, frontman Kenta Koie says: ‘Feel Alive’ was the first song that we wrote since COVID-19 brought our world down into chaos. Everyone was forced to be alone and divided by the virus, thus we decided to make this song as a hope that cast the shadow. Also, we wanted to make it with our fans, so we recorded our fans clapping at our first show back since this unexpected disaster. In addition, we worked with Josh from Modestep on Feel Alive so you can hear true essence of UK bass music! This song means a lot to us, and hope this will be the light that shines on you”. About Crossfaith “Playing heavy music is how I feel alive,” says Koie. “We want Crossfaith to be the band making music that no one has ever heard before”. Crossfaith formed in 2006 and released their debut album ‘The Artificial Theory For The Dramatic Beauty’ in 2009 followed by ‘The Dream, The [Read More]

October 12, 2021

The Story So Far and Elder Brother’s Kevin Geyer has announced new EP “In Place” from his new solo project, “Same Side”. The EP is out the 19th November 2021 via Pure Noise Records. “Same Side” have also released the first single of the upcoming EP “Density”. “Same Side” the solo project of the Story So Far and Elder Brother guitarist, released its self-titled debut EP in 2019. A collection of songs he’d recorded four years before it came out, that record established Geyer as a songwriter capable of beautiful, carefully considered introspection. That’s something these six gorgeous songs – which were recorded at former Seahaven guitarist Michael Craver’s new studio – utterly confirm. But they also demonstrate an important shift in focus. “This EP is a more honest representation of how I’m feeling at the time I’m actually releasing and recording it”, says Geyer. “The first time around was songs from a bunch of years ago so, and more of a break-up album. Now, I’m with someone I love, and I’m a lot happier. [Read More]

Superlove release brand new single “Save yourselves”

October 5, 2021

Bristols Superlove has released another brand new single, “Save Yourselves”. Born at a times when the country was in turmoil with UK politics and social media proved itself once more to be an intense platform to be consumed within. Singer Jacob felt he was being bombarded with too much information, too many opinions, not enough fact and it became a sea of confusion. “This song was just trying to express some frustration in feeling so overwhelmed by everything we watch, read online and see on TV”, says Jacob. “Writing ‘Save Yourselves’ also had us thinking, what would we do if everything absolutely went to shit? I like to think we would both just go and sit in a forest, out the way of everything with a fire going and just laugh at what a state we got ourselves into. We’re honestly so excited this song is actually coming out as I remember listening to the demo over and over again thinking oh my god this song is so addictive to listen to haha, we hope [Read More]

Of Mice & Men show visualizer for new song “Mosaic”

September 30, 2021

Gold-selling hard rockers Of Mice & Men — Aaron Pauley (bass + vocals ), Valentino Arteaga (drums), Alan Ashby (guitar), and Phil Manansala (guitar) — have had quite a prolific 2021 thus far. The Southern California-based quartet used their time spent in the 2020 lockdown, which was the result of the COVID-19 pandemic, in an incredibly productive way. During that period, the band wrote and recorded both the “Timeless” and “Bloom” EPs, which were released in February and May of this year, respectively. But today, OM&M are back and continue their consistent feed of new music with the new single “Mosaic”. “‘Mosaic’ is about questioning whether or not we, as human beings, can overcome our seemingly primal need for combativeness, because it’s more prevalent than ever in our lives these days”, shares Pauley about the track. Of Mice & Men enjoyed a groundswell of activity around their previous drops. The new music was described as “crushing” by Revolver, and as “thought-provoking” and “cinematic” by Loudwire. Metal Sucks celebrated the new material as a “call back [Read More]

The Devil Wears Prada share video for new song “Sacrifice”

September 30, 2021

Mike Hranica [vocals], Jeremy DePoyster [vocals, guitar], Mason Nagy [bass], Kyle Sipress [guitar], Jonathan Gering [keys, synthesizers], and Giuseppe Capolupo [drums] — have shared the video for the brand new, self-produced song “Sacrifice”. ‘Sacrifice’ is a song of defeat: its character is exhausted, relinquishing will in an abusive relationship. There is nothing left to fight for”, the band shares. “Sacrifice” is an excellent example of TDWP’s continued sonic evolution, mixing an almost restrained melodic nuance with full on brutality. Earlier this year, The Devil Wears Prada released the much-anticipated “ZII” EP via Solid State Records. It was a discordant, dissonant exercise in excellence. Get the “ZII” EP HERE. The original “Zombie” EP dropped all the way back in August 2010 and remains an intense fan favorite. While not a chronological release in the TDWP catalog, “ZII” is the next chapter. TDWP effectively summed things up, saying: “Before, there were five songs about how to fend off the apocalypse. Now, there are five songs of hopelessness against the hoard”. The Devil Wears Prada are currently out [Read More]

Boston Manor release new single “Algorithm”

September 30, 2021

Boston Manor continue their astute commentary on modern-day life and its ever-evolving and mounting pressures and issues with their new single ‘Algorithm’. Says Henry Cox of the track’s thematic material: “In the current media landscape, artists now are expected not only to write & perform music; but also to be media personalities, stylists, photographers, merch companies, streamers, gamers, filmmakers & just about everything in between. We’re also expected to produce art (“content”) at such an insane rate that, combined with touring commitments, it leaves us with less and less time to actually focus on the art itself. I wrote Algorithm in response to this – the whole ‘someone else’s clothes’ thing being a reference to the fact that I often feel pressured to be a person I’m not, and that sucks.” ‘Algorithm’ follows on from Boston Manor’s recently released fearsome anthem ‘Carbon Mono’, which was already inciting moshpits and scream-alongs at the band’s recent headline shows, as well as their incendiary performances at Reading and Leeds Festival and as last minute headliners of the Key [Read More]
