Cocaine Cowboys from PERU release video for their bad ass rock track, Come N’ Get It

  Just last month we introduced you to the hard rock band from Peru, Cocaine Cowboys. In case you missed it, you can read that article here: Cocaine Cowybos from Peru. Today I want to share with you their live video feature celebrating their 2nd anniversary as a band. The song is their bad ass track, Come N’ Get It. Check out the video here:   They have fierce guitars, gritty powerful vocals and a style that screams Rock! I just love those vocals, they are almost a blend of Tom Keifer and Sebastian Bach. Love them! The guitars have this dirty, raw edge vibrato similar to a Velvet Revolver style. The spot on precision drumming comes in and set the even tone without being overbearing which can happen so much with today’s music. I am really looking forward to check out more of their music. We return with our Tuesdays Travels where we highlight a band from another country. Tonight we travel all the way to South America to a town where I visited back in 1983 with my parents; Lima, Peru. I am sure when people think of Peru, they think of Machu Picchu or the great food (particularly my famous Causa or Papa a la Huancaina), and not ROCK n ROLL. But Peru has a great history rich in culture/music and if you haven’t read it yet, check out my article, Punk Rock Originated in Peru with Los Saicos in 1964.  Yes, I am proud to say that I am 100% Peruvian so this is quite an honor to find a band that I completely ROCKS and is from the hometown of my parents. Tuesdays Travels Pick of the Week for Rock is CURRAN from UK

For our Tuesdays Travels Pick of the Week, I am excited to bring you CURRAN from the UK. They have an awesome rock n roll sound that will have you hooked from the first listen.  CURRAN is Mark Curran on Vocals, Mat Anthony  on Guitar, Dean Roberts on Rhythm Guitar,  Enrico Terella on Bass and Kris Rich on Drums. Check out their video for their song, “Run Back to You”   I just love that song. It has such a bluesy rock vibe and the vocals remind me of one of my all-time favorite vocalists, Tom Keifer.  It has a great build up on the intro that is perfect for a stadium show. The Broken Ravens new single; Pressure is out NOW!

It is that time! I told you a couple weeks ago about an amazing new rock band from Scotland, The Broken Ravens who were out Tuesday Travels Pick of the week. You can read more from that post here. Well, they just released their new single, Pressure and it is incredible. Hailing from from the Stornoway from Isle of Lewis, Scotland, The Broken Ravens are soon to be one of your favorite  new bands. They remind me of a mix of Black Sabbath with Soundgarden. The Broken Ravens are Kevin Clark on Drums, Lotto Ferguson on Bass/Vocals, Calum ‘Thrash’ Macaulay on Guitar/Vocals and Bugsy Maclean on Guitar/Vocals. Interview with Full Moon Rising; a truly heartwarming musical project

Music has always been that special friend that I can turn to in times of trouble, times of celebration or just plain anytime!  Music truly has a magical effect on me and I love when the first time I hear some music, it truly touches my soul and makes a positive impact on me. Recently for me, that music has been of Full Moon Rising. I learned about Full Moon Rising shortly after we ran our interview with Raz Klinghoffer of EarlyRise. Full Moon Rising is an International Music Project by the highly talented Daniel Tyler Pohnke. Shortly after losing his mother in 2000, Daniel was inspired to write his first song. That was the beginning of the heartwarming and soul touching journey of Daniel’s music. He then set off to record his songs in various countries collaborating with a different producer and unique culturally diverse musicians on each track. A great new rock band from the Stornoway from Isle of Lewis, Scotland called The Broken Ravens are our Tuesdays Travels Pick of the Week for Music from around the world!  You are really going to love this band, they remind me of a mix of Black Sabbath with Soundgarden. The Broken Ravens are Kevin Clark on Drums, Lotto Ferguson on Bass/Vocals, Calum ‘Thrash’ Macaulay on Guitar/Vocals and Bugsy Maclean on Guitar/Vocals. What is great about this band is that they each have very diverse musical influences and together they have created their own unique sound which has to be heard! We asked Kevin if they could name three of their biggest influences and here is what he told us, “As all our influences are so diverse, we nearly ended up in a big fight over choosing just three , but, after a struggle, we managed to get it down to 4.
