Global rocker Eric Zayne sits down with Music Junkie Press and it’s a wild ride, by Patrick O’Heffernan

March 2, 2014

Global rocker Eric Zayne sits down with Music Junkie Press and it’s a wild ride. by Patrick O’Heffernan, Host, Music FridayLive! Unbridled, unleashed and almost uncontrolled enthusiastic talent -that is Eric Zayne and his electronica-influenced, soul and blues-infused, pop-inflected and sometimes just plain over the top creative funk/pop/rock. I first saw him live at a pre-Grammy Party in LA and knew this was a talent going places fast.  We talked afterwards about his gig at Sundance and his upcoming gigs and recordings.  Eric and his band can turn on a dime from infectious alt. pop to ballads with a twist. He is always trailblazing, always out of the box and into your pleasure centers. Put on your headphones, clear out the dance floor, forget everything you think  you know about rock and pop. Whether he is live onstage or erupting from a EP,  Eric Zayne’s music mainlines a pure dose of the most unique sound  coming out of the LA rock scene today directly into your brain.  Patrick O’Heffernan, Host of Music Friday interviewed Eric [Read More]

The Hollywood Kills EP “Coming of Age” is an instant mood elevator!

February 20, 2014

The Hollywood Kills new EP, “Coming of Age” should be marketed as the instant mood elevator! Who needs antidepressants when you have an EP filled with 5 songs that will get you out of any funk you could ever be in.  I love music that makes you feel so alive and takes you to even a new found level of euphoric bliss. The Hollywood Kills may be from Nashville, TN but they mean business with their rock n roll sound sprinkled with punk, pop and even Motown. You will be instantly hooked on this one. The EP was mixed and produced by the amazingly talented, Brian Virtue ( Deftones, Korn, Janes Addiction, Kiss, 30 Seconds to Mars, the list can go on and on). Members Brent Powelson, Preston Jackson, Johnny Angel and Dylan Rowe worked together to create a spectacular EP that will arouse all your sense. Coming of Age  starts right off with a cool guitar intro and great build up. This song is just as it describes, it is like having your senses all awakened and literally [Read More]
