Last night Blue October returned to San Francisco as they made a stop on their highly successful Home Tour in support of their recent album, Home. The album which was released on April 22nd is absolutely amazing and has been garnering high praises as it continues to climb the charts as well as a No. 1 spot on the Billboard’s Top Rock Albums.

The night kicked off with a great set by Danny Malone. You can check out our coverage of their set and an interview with them here. They are an incredible, up and coming band that brings the emotion to life with their music.

The crowd grew with excitement as the intro The Still began to play. Blue October took to the stage and kicked it off with I Want It. From that moment on, the crowd was help captive by the incredible performance by Blue October as they played fan favorites and plenty of new tracks off Home. I know I have mentioned before how inspirational and emotional a Blue October concert can be, and I must stress it once again. It was simply a spiritual experience and leaves you exhilarated and ready to live life to the fullest. Justin spoke to the crowd about how his music has been his own healing source and it is so true that his music has become a healing source for others. When he performed Fear, you could see such emotion in the crowd as they left behind all their worries and struggles. They literally had the weight of the world lifted off their shoulders and their hearts filled with hope, strength and a renewed spirit. A moment of pure bliss for all of us.

The night continued on and timed seem to fly by the seventeen (I believe) song setlist. I longed for seventeen more! It was also incredible that their encore included a very old track, Conversation via Radio. It was spectacular and the entire band was on point. I must congratulate Matthew Ostrander with his great work at successfully performing every track and fulfilling the guitarist role. Check out the photos from our Rockin Ryan:

I cannot express enough how Blue October songs contain some of the most soul touching, energy charging, heartfelt, inspirational, rockin, personal music out today. Their music has been the soundscape for so many lives and have helped carried many through their hardest times, been there for times of celebration, a release for frustration and pent up emotions or just to simply provide melodies and harmonies in perfect song.

Pick up the new album by heading over to iTunes here or check out their website for more outlets.
