Fates Warning announce new album title, artwork, release date and tour!

Fates Warning announces a new album “Darkness in a Different Light” which is set to release on October 1st, 2013. Here is the cover art for the new album by the US Progressive Metal band, It has been almost 10 years sine we last heard from Fates Warning with their release of “FWX“. FATES WARNING vocalist Ray Alder checked in with a comment as follows: “Darkness in a Different Light” is the result of almost two years of very hard work from everyone in the band. Our very own San Francisco favorite singer/songrwriter Peter London has a new CD coming out that I wanted to tell you more about. Peter is an avid animal lover and is using his gift of music to raise awareness and funds for a refuge animal center. He has such a great heart and I look for all of us to join in and help support the no-kill animal shelters. Track listing for Alter Bridge new album “Fortress”

I have been waiting for the new Alter Bridge album!! The new album titled “‘Fortress” is set to be released on September 30th in the UK, October 1st in Italy and October 8th in the United States. Hey I may have to fly to London for my copy early! It was reported on the TheAlterBridgeNation.com website that their single, “Addicted to Pain” will be released on August 20th. Lemmy cuts set short: PLEASE TAKE A REST LEMMY! WE LOVE YOU!

Exactly one month ago, I told you about Motorhead cancelling their European tour dates due to Lemmy Kilmister health issues. One of the tour dates they did not cancel was Waken Open Air Festival and maybe they should have. it is reported that they had to cut the set short due to Lemmy’s health. They had longer pauses between songs and after one long pause, Lemmy came out for another song and never returned. It was reported on Wacken Open Air Festival the following post in German: Mehr als 30 Minuten konnten Motörhead die Black Stage rocken und Lemmy hat alles gegeben um Euch eine geile Show zu liefern. Joey Jordison is well known for his over the top speed drumming for Slipknot and also his sold intense guitar in Murderdolls. Joey has announced his musical endeavor, Scar the Martyr and he will again be treating us to his precision drumming. Also in the band is Henry Derek as vocalist, keyboardist Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails), and guitarists Jed Simon (Strapping Young Lad) and Kris Norris (Darkest Hour). 1982… For me… what a year… Freshman/Sophmore year at the all girls Catholic School Notre Dame in Belmont, California. I begged to go to the local public school after going to private uniform schools for the past 8 years but no luck…. So the best part is I remember we had MTV. We had just got it and I was glued to it the fist couple weekends that we had it. I remember we were vacationing at the house we rented every summer in Lake Tahoe and we got up there and they had the MTV channel. My whole world changed!! It happened to be the weekend where they spent most of it broadcasting Todd Rundgren Utopia concert but I got enough music videos to beg my Father to get it for us when we got back. A Story Beneath releases new video for “All in My Head”

One of my favorite bands that I told you about in a post back in May that includes an interview with Phil Goff, has recently released a video for their kick ass song, “All in My Head” which is from their new EP Beneath the Skin, and you can check it out here: A Story Beneath is an incredible band from Santa Clarita, California. Phil Goff is on Guitar and Vocals, Toddy Libby on Bass and Keys, and Markus Flick on drums. These three guys come together with driving rhythms, melodic chords blended with some powerful rock reminiscent of Silverchair, early Tool and Incubus but they definitely have a sound of their own.
