Ashestoangels release video for Heavy Words and Hollow Bones

November 19, 2014

Our favorite Gothic Punk Rock band Ashestoangels have released another video from their album, Horror Cult. This time it is for their song, Heavy Words and Hollow Bones. Check it out here: The video really has me excited to see them live! It really gives you a taste of what it would be like to catch their highly energetic sets!  Crilly says, “We spent the summer out on the road and we took along a couple of friends to film it. We tried to put together a video that captures how much fun those shows were. This is one of our favourite songs to play from the new record and I think we’ve made a video that does it justice.” . If you don’t already have it, be sure to pick up Horror Cult. It is an amazing album from start to finish. Beware, this album will definitely haunt you but in a GOOD WAY! I love it! This is they type of album that you will play from start to finish and find yourself with it on repeat. [Read More]

Blue October SWAY concert review by guest contributor by Mark Iman

November 19, 2014

by Guest Contributor Mark Iman, MarkImanConcertReview.blogspot.com November 12, 2014 kicked off the final installment of touring for Blue October’s most recent album, SWAY, at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland. Starting the evening off was Harvard Of The South, a side project created by Blue Octobers Justin Furstenfeld, Matt Noveskey, Jeremy Furstenfeld and longtime collaborator and friend Steve Schiltz of Hurricane Bells and Longwave.  The band recently released a 5 song EP titled Miracle and is currently available at the shows. I made sure to grab my copy and have a hard time switching to anything else. It has a great old school grunge feel only with less teenage angst.  As I heard someone in the crowd state “Imagine if Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Smashing Pumpkins had an illegitimate love child, this would be it.” Being that all the bands listed are a staple in music history I see no better way to compliment them and look forward to hearing more music in the future. The show started with a brief video telling everyone about the [Read More]

Check it out here: The album takes you on an amazing musical journey and Stever reveals about the album, “Damned Renegades is a very personal record, lyrically and sonically. My relationship with the album was much like that of a mad scientist and his experiment. While writing it, I was anxiously awaiting becoming a new father and focused all of that excitement and energy into the music. As much as I wanted to just center on preparing for the birth, I felt that I needed to record the music we were creating first. The rest of the Davenport [Read More]

Check out the new video for Ms. Sally Jones from singer/songwriter Eric Dash

November 19, 2014

Singer/songwriter Eric Dash has just released a music video for his song, Ms. Sally Jones. After Eric’s first single, One More Love Song he quickly became a Vevo/Youtube sensation. About his new video, Eric says, “When you actually listen to Ms. Sally Jones it’s kind of sad. But that’s not what we wanted for the video. We tried to keep the music video humorous so it’s an easier watch. I think it came out great!” Check out the video here: The song really highlights Eric’s emotionally driven lyrics coming to life in the upbeat pop track. The song is off the forthcoming album from Eric which he plans on heading into the studio for recording with producer Jack Joseph Puig (John Mayer/Goo Goo Dolls/No Doubt).
