Set It Off release inspiring new video for Wild Wild World

September 23, 2015

In this day and age, it can be a very Wild Wild World and Set it Off have just released a very compelling and inspiring music video for their song, Wild Wild World. The touching song truly opens your eyes to the change that can happen and it all starts with each one of us. I recently have seen the devastation of the Valley Fire here in Northern California and within hours worked together with my friend and many musicians to make a difference. This weekend we are holding our Valley Fire Benefit Concert and it was a result of people’s hard work and dedication at making a change. I have faith in humanity and with musicians like Set It Off who create beautiful songs like this one, we will continue be the change. Set It Off vocalist Cody Carson comments, “When it comes down to it, I feel people are afraid of change and afraid of what the world will become. If we can just open our eyes and see each other as [Read More]

The lyrics and melody flooded out more naturally than ever before, and that’s when I knew what it was. Mama was my anthem. New band Lovesick Riot grabs your attention with their infectious new track, Black

September 22, 2015

Today, we live in a time where new music is readily available and always at your fingertips. When I was young and in search of new bands, I would have to set out to Tower Records and search for the new single cassettes or 45s that were released that week. It was great because you would not only find the mainstream artists but you could find singles from up and coming new bands. The only problem being that those finds were far and few in between and would take a lot of searching. Fast forward to today, and now you could find what might be your new favorite band by just clicking a link on a Facebook or a video on Youtube. Even better, is when you find that band at their early stages so you can truly become part of their growing fanbase. I have a band that I would strongly encourage you to check out. Allow me to introduce you to Lovesick Riot out of Southern California. They are a pretty new band [Read More]

September 22, 2015

The Noise Figures from Athens, Greece are our Spotlight Band which consists of drummer-vocalist George Nikas and guitarist Stamos Bamparis. They are set to release to their new album, Aphelion on September 28th on Inner Ear Records. What is great about this album, is the organic and pure sound that was achieved as The Noise Figures recorded the album in 5 days on a reel to reel machine with vintage gear and tuned to A=432Hz which is called the Pythagorean tuning. The result being an infectious fuzz rock sound that will have you immediately hooked! Throughout the economic crisis and layoffs, they persevered and toured extensively in Europe. They comment, We have been challenged over here but keeping on our mission, you know “… The harder they come – The harder they fall, one and all”.   Band Members: George Nikas – Vocals, Drums Stamos Bamparis – Guitars, Vocals Genre:  Fuzz rock Location: Athens, Greece Feature: Fuzz rock that brings out a raw organic nature that is missing from a lot of today’s music Song to check out: Holy [Read More]
