Prince Daddy & The Hyena share new song “Shoelaces”

There’s an unrelenting purpose behind every note of a Prince Daddy & The Hyena song, but there’s something different about the songs on their upcoming self-titled album, out next Friday, April 15th. Today the Albany, NY band shares “Shoelaces”, rounding out a trio of singles the band has been sharing since earlier in March, including “A Random Exercise In Impermanence (The Collector)” and “El Dorado“. “Shoelaces” bring listeners back to Kory Gregory’s rough-and-scruff vocal stylings that helped the band gain notoriety in the first place. Combined with the undeniable fullness of that hook (“good dreams scare me way more lately”), it still feels more controlled and intentional than anything the band has done before. Clutch release new single “Red Alert”

American groove rockers Clutch have released their new single and video titled “Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)”. The track is available from all DSPs. Frontman and lyricist Neil Fallon explains: “In early 2021 I learned that the Boss Metal Zone pedal schematic was presented as ‘proof’ that the Covid-19 vaccine had an electronic component to communicate with 5G cellular networks. That was nonsense, of course. It sounded like a Philip K. Dick-story. I didn’t want to write a song specifically about Covid-19 vaccines, so I used Philip K. Dick (again). “Do Android’s Dream of Electric Sheep?” came to mind (particularly replicants showing what’s real and what’s not real, or is there even a difference?) The video makes no bones about the fact that it’s a homage to Philip K. Memphis May Fire have shared “Only Human” from their upcoming seventh album “Remade in Misery”. The explosively rhythmic track features guest vocals from Fire From the Gods’ AJ Channer, who bounces lyrics off Mullins for a double dose of ferocity. “‘Only Human’ is one of my personal favorites off the new record,” explains Mullins. “AJ Channer is the only guest vocalist on the new album and we couldn’t be more stoked to have him on this one.
