Avatar announce summer tour dates for North America

April 26, 2022

Swedish Melodic Death Metal band Avatar announced summer tour dates for North America/Canada for 2022 today. The tour will start July 6th in Toronto, ON. Light The Torch and Otep will be supporting them. “They don’t let us out much while we make our albums, so this summer will most likely turn out very dangerous for everyone involved. For all the tours we’ve done in North America, we have spent very little time there in the summer. Surely this must have led to a lot of unnecessary suffering that we are adamant on setting straight by applying necessary suffering. We know people crave some light-hearted tunes for their make-out sessions on the beach, and some sweet melodies as they watch the sun set over the lake. We are here to destroy every single moment of summertime serenity. The sun will be the second hottest thing you’ll see in July. To finally do something with Otep feels great, and to once again hit the road with Light the Torch will be awesome, as well.” General ticket [Read More]

Waxflower release brand-new single “Misaligned Love” ft. Sydney Sprague

April 21, 2022

There’s no doubt that adored pop-punk rockers Waxflower have been making a huge impact in the lead up to their sophomore EP ‘The Sound Of What Went Wrong’ – out Friday 29th April via Rude Records – with the band today releasing the final taste of what is to come with yearning new single ‘Misaligned Love’. Featuring the enthralling vocals of American indie pop/rock songstress Sydney Sprague, ‘Misaligned Love’ is about a love connection that can never quite come to fruition, although the stars have certainly aligned for the collaboration between Waxflower and miss Sprague, and we’re so grateful for it! “Having the wonderful Sydney Sprague feature on this track was an incredible honour & she really helped to elevate ‘Misaligned Love’ to a place that we couldn’t, without her”, explains drummer Daniel Seymour. “We’ve been huge fans of hers for a couple of years now, so when the opportunity arose with ‘Misaligned Love’, we reached out to her to feature and thankfully she agreed! She’s just finished touring with Jimmy Eat World & Dashboard [Read More]

Vatican announce new album “Ultra” and shares video for new single

April 21, 2022

Savannah, Georgia five-piece Vatican have announced their new album “Ultra”, out June 17th via UNFD. Today, the band has shared the video for “Reverence”. The fast-action video boasts a cinematic and apocalyptic vibe, as it features tight shots, hand-to-hand combat, and swordsmanship mixed with performance footage. “To me, this song has just about the whole package”, says singer Mike Sugars. “Just a little bit of everything I like to hear in metalcore. I remember recording the chorus, and our producer Randy Lebouf saying, ‘I don’t understand how you thought to sing over this, but it’s just so perfect’. The song is about people with irresponsible amounts of wealth and the damage they cause to the vast majority of regular people. We don’t need ’em”. After developing a name for themselves and garnering press praise from Revolver, Kerrang!, New Noise, and more with 2019’s full-length “Sole Impulse“, Vatican stormed out of the gates hard in 2021, when they signed to UNFD and released their knockout double-single effort “Become A New God“. Featuring singles “Absolute Reality” and [Read More]

Architects share brand-new track “When We Were Young”

April 20, 2022

Architects shared a brand-new song today. “When We Were Young” is the first single outside the band’s UK-#1 album “For Those That Wish To Exist”. Check it out! “”When We Were Young” is a song that realizes what we win and what we lose when we get older”, says drummer Dan Searle. “While the world around us unfolds, we can be overwhelmed by its endless complexity. When I was 20 I thought I had it all figured out. Today I’m quite certain, that I will never understand reality. We lose our innocence when we get older and although fatalism and cynicism can creep in, we also begin to shift our focus to gratitude for our existence and for those we love.” Stream/download the new track HERE. The band just recently rescheduled the tour dates for Germany from 2022 to 2023. Tickets remain valid. UK tour dates for May 2022 and US tour dates for September 2022 are still happening. Kelsy Karter delivers flawless high energy set out on her Pink Kink & Punk Tour with a stop in San Francisco

April 14, 2022

It was our first show in two years and we couldn’t have asked for a better return to the live music scene than Kelsy Karter and the Hot Trash. Kelsy  made a stop in San Francisco for her Pink Kink & Punk Tour at the Brick and Mortar Music Hall. This was definitely one concert that I won’t soon forget. The bar has been set high as Kelsy and her band truly delivered a flawless high energy set that had us knee deep in awe and craving more. We first heard Kelsy Karter with her single Out of Drugs in 2017 and have been hooked ever since. Over the years, we have continued to be held captive by her emotionally driven and soul baring vocals. But to finally catch her live performance takes it to a whole new level. The crowd at the Brick and Mortar were completely engulfed in her energy as she shared stories about her music and gave 150% on each song. Nothing was left unsaid or unsung as she gave everyone [Read More]
