April 22, 2016

Today our BottleRock Napa Featured Band of the Day is Waters. This is one band that I am really looking forward to catching live. They have such a refreshing rock style that blends pop, alternative and grunge. The band started in Oslo by singer/songwriter Van Pierszalowski back in 2011 when he relocated to San Francisco. They released their second full length album last year on Vagrant Records. We look forward to them bringing their fun colorful music to the stage and get the crowd in a feel good mood. They really have music that invites you to move around, dance and rock out, all the while delivering heartfelt lyrics that connect the listener. We can’t wait to hear them play some of our favorite songs, I Feel Everything, Got To My Head, Over It and many more! The Pharcyde
BottleRock Napa

BottleRock Napa Featured Band of the Day is The Pharcyde

April 15, 2016

Today our BottleRock Napa Featured Band of the Day is The Pharcyde. BottleRock Napa has always done an excellent job at bringing together a variety of music styles and genres with the success of creating new fans for each band playing. We are excited that The Pharcyde will be bringing their hip hop energy to the Midway Stage. Their long time history will be bringing plenty of fans to watch them bring their rap game to new heights at BottleRock. In the early 90’s, when gangsta’ rap consumed the airwaves, and the majority of West Coast rappers strapped on their Locs, Chuck Taylor’s & Ben Davis’, The Pharcyde decidedly maintained a willfully weird vision. Opting to stay true to themselves with their left field but still South-Central sensibility, rap had seen few groups so self-deprecating and so smart, four visionary rappers adroitly able to split the difference between helium-voiced and hard-core. Listening to “Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde” two full decades after its release, its sense of timeliness is unmistakable. Every song on the album inverts [Read More]

April 14, 2016

Today our BottleRock Napa Featured Band of the Day is Gogol Bordello. Gogol Bordello will definitely be bringing the party to BottleRock this year with their free spirited gypsy punk music. The band brilliantly fuses together a multitude of influences and cultures into one of the most vibrant and eclectic sounds of today. They have just announced a tour with Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls as well as a date at the UC Theatre in Berkeley. Make sure to visit their socials to stay up to date on all of their touring news. About their album Pura Vida Conspiracy, “I’ve come full circle and I’m comfortable being a total outsider,” says Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz, explaining the philosophy behind the band’s new album, Pura Vida Conspiracy. Like everything they’ve ever done, this outing is an uncategorizable blend of international influences, anchored by the gypsy rhythms Hutz grew up with in Ukraine. “Most people are looking for a box to put stuff in,” he says. “I try to avoid it.
