Day 9 brings CrashDiet for 12 Days of Christmas Rock!

December 20, 2012

12 Days of Rock Christmas! Day 9  On the 9th day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me some sexy glam rock from Crashdiet.  I have been transported back in my time machine and I am walking down the Sunset Strip in the mid 1980’s. Up and down the strip I can catch a show, anything from Glam Metal, Hair Bands, or even some Punk shows. I have my favorite pair of fringed white Zodiac Boots, bright zebra print top and my short pink skirt. Of course I have my hair in my high upstyle and tons of hairspray. I am ready to check out some bands and rock out. That is what Crashdiet brings back to me. All my favorite memories of partying and rocking out in the 80’s but now I can enjoy that same feeling while listening to this Swedish “sleaze rock” band. They are like that second shot of whiskey, it feels great but be prepared for some fun and trouble. I have had some deep discussions with others [Read More]

The Veer Union is the 7th gift for 12 Days of Christmas Rock!

December 18, 2012

12 Days of Rock Christmas! Day 7 On the 7th day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me a sneak peak of  new music by The Veer Union. I have loved The Veer Union from the moment I first saw them open up for Puddle Of Mudd at Slim’s several years ago.  I still remember it as if it was yesterday. We were towards the back since we were going to sit down and get some dinner before heading to the front for Puddle Of Mudd. We had ordered our nachos and drinks and had just started to eat while the band took the stage. First thing that catches your eye is Crispin, the lead singer with his possibly 12″ awesome mohawk!  Within a few minutes they were all set up up and we were still snacking away. Then they started to play and within the first 30 seconds, we left our food and table to rush to get up front to really see this band.  It was love at first sound [Read More]

Day 6 brings us Tracer for the 12 Days of Rock Christmas!

December 17, 2012

12 Days of Rock Christmas! Day 6 On the 6th day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me an incredible treasure from down under called Tracer. This one took me by surprise since the second I heard it, I was grinning from ear to ear as if I had just won the lottery. I quietly crept into Rockin Ryan’s Garage to plug in my favorite pair of Marshall headphones so I could really take a good listen to this band. I needed to make sure what I was hearing was just as awesome I thought it was… Well verdict IN. YES, it was. It was a gift of sweet classic rock soaked in grungy sweat that just tickled my senses! Judging from the intense and larger than life sound that Tracer  delivers, it is hard to believe that it is just three guys in this band. Michael Brown has flawless vocals and wields out some excellent riffs and high energy solos and hooks on the guitar. Pat Saracino is also on vocals and dominates [Read More]

Day 4 brings Man Made Machine for 12 Days of Rock Christmas!

December 15, 2012

12 Days of Rock Christmas! Day 4 On the 4th day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me some high energy rock from Man Made Machine. Get ready people, you are going to love this band! They have been described as a full-octane rock and metal sound. When you listen to them you will instantly be banging your head with fists in the air and ready to ROCK! Even though they had many labels approaching them, they inked a record deal with Razor & Tie to debut their album “BECOME”. Now this gets even better when you throw in the fact that it is produced by Chad Gray and Greg Tribbett (Mudvayne/HellYeah) and mixed by Jeremy Parker (Godsmack/Evanescence). Ya, I know, you can pick up your jaw now. These guys have an incredible entourage backing them and guess what? They do not let anyone down, but instead exceed expectations by delivering solid powered rock with emotionally charged lyrics. Man Made Machine is Joe Cotela on Vocals, Justyn Sena on Bass, Matt Reinhard [Read More]

December 14, 2012

12 Days of Rock Christmas!   Day 3 On the 3rd day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me some fun under the tree with Sin City Sinners! If you live anywhere near Las Vegas, I am sure you are already very familiar with Sin City Sinners which have been dubbed “The Rat Pack of Rock and Roll” and have been named the #1 Headlining Rock Band of Las Vegas.  I know you might be wondering why I put a band that is most well known for their rock and roll covers but these guys not only deliver the great rock and roll but they are just too damn good to not mention with the show they put on. Who is the Rat Pack of Rock and Roll? Well you have a wealth of talent on the stage when they perform and their list of special guest have included the likes of Carmine and Vinny Appice, DJ Ashba, Sebastian Bach, Dave Ellefson, Lita Ford, John 5, Gilby Clarke, Jason Hook, Vinny Paul [Read More]

Love and a .38 is our 2nd gift for 12 Days of Christmas!

December 13, 2012

12 Days of Rock Christmas!   Day 2 On the 2nd day of Christmas my rock and roll love gave to me the KICK ASS ROCK of Love and a .38! Oh ya, more true style rock and roll for you on this second day. Love and a .38 has been one of my favorite bands for a while now. When you think of the history of Sunset Strip and Rock and Roll, what comes to mind is The Whiskey, Troubadour, Gazzari’s, The Roxy, The Rainbow and bands like Smile! Tryx! Ratt! Van Halen! Motley Crue! Ally Cats! There are too many to name but I personally enjoyed many weekends on the Sunset Strip during the 80’s and 90’s and they provided some of my best memories of great rock and roll whether it was 80’s Hairbands, Glamour Rock, GlamPunk, it was all great!  So when I first heard Love and a .38 it took me back to those great days and here we are in 2012 and people can experience the excitement of finding [Read More]

12 Days of Rock Christmas starts with Heaven’s Basement!

December 12, 2012

12 Days of Rock Christmas!   Day 1 On the first day of Christmas, my Rock and Roll love gave to me, down and dirty hard rock sound by Heaven’s Basement!  This band from England is going to be on the tip of all your tongues in 2013, mark my words.   These four guys have a stadium rock sound that needs to be unleashed here in the States. They deliver rock  that has just received 1000 volts of power. Caution! The defibrillator paddles have been brought out and just brought old school Rock and Roll ALIVE!!! Heaven’s Basement has invigorated music and it is exactly what we need more of. They are just getting back to England from touring Europe and treating those lucky concertgoers to melt your face ROCK! During their European tour, they were sharing the stage with Seether, Halestorm, Papa Roach, Shinedown, Duff McKagan and Buckcherry. Heaven’s Basement was formed in 2008 and is currently signed with Red Bull Records. Actually, their new single, “Nothing to Lose” is the official soundtrack [Read More]
