I wanted to tell you about a great band that I have been enjoying, A Candle Lit City but they have recently announced a name change due to member changes and new music. So I would like to introduce you to an old friend A Candle Lit City which is now under the name Like Monroe. Coming from Houston, Texas they are delivering alternative rock with a metal edge. Art of Shock taking over the Warped Tour!

This years Warped Tour has had so many great bands to check out. One that is playing the entire Warped Tour that you cannot miss is Art of Shock. Coming from Los Angeles, this Alternative/Aggressive Rock band is tearing up the stages and you can’t help but take notice of them. They deliver high energy rock and roll with an old school feel that will have everyone listening! Lemmy Kilmister, Father of Metal just needs a little more rest

Just yesterday we heard about Motorhead having to cancel not just another show but the entire European tour dates due to Lemmy Kilmister’s health. There was quite a flurry of concern as many news sites were reporting, Lemmy’s “failing health”, “Lemmy not looking too good” and other serious concerns. It led to all of us concerned about the future of our Father of Metal!! Earlier this year Lemmy had a defibrilator chest implant installed to treat his irregular heartbeat and assist in regulating him. He also most recently suffered from an unspecified hematoma, which if Lemmy is on any type blood thinners could lead to a more serious problem. Sugar and Spice and Metal is Nice! 6 year old metals it up on America’s Got Talent

Last night on America’s Got Talent, I had my faith in the younger generation restored and I know Heavy Metal will always live on! I am not a regular at watching music/talent reality shows but I had caught a glimpse of a 6 year girl screaming out some heavy metal vocals and had to find out more. Yes, Sugar and Spice and Metal is Nice. That is what this little girl is made of! I was able to watch the full segment on Youtube and it was incredible. Out came this adorable 6 year old girl in a cute little polka dot dress, Aaralyn O’Neil and she was with her 9 year old brother Isaiah O”Neil. Isaiah played drums as Aaralyn shocked the judges as she belted out her screams to her original song, “Zombie Skin”! Black Veil Brides release new Lyric video for “Revelation”

Revelation This morning at 10 am PST, Youtube was the place to be and they are continuing to get a whirlwind of traffic. Why? Of course, because thousands of fans all over went there to listen and watch the Lyric video for Black Veil Brides, new song ‘Revelation”. Lead Singer Andy Biersack explained a bit about the song on his Instagram post: “Tomorrow the official lyric video for “Revelation” will be released. When writing this song it was originally meant as a sort of “sequel” to “Fallen Angels” however due to time constraints in the process of making the last record we were never able to complete it, but now it’s ready and we can’t wait for you all to hear it and sing along!” You can watch it here: I checked it out and the views skyrocketed in the first minute, and the likes went climbing to over 2,000+ in the first hour! People ask me all the time how do I find my new music. There are so many ways, I get submissions daily, facebook messages, twitter and so much more. Sometimes you just happen to be in the right spot at the right time and you find a treasure! Today I have to tell you about the treasure I found completely accidental. As you know we went to Revolver Golden Gods Awards and we had bestowed upon the great David Draiman (Device and Disturbed) and his wife the award of Best Dressed Couple. I was on Twitter and ran across a tweet (you can see it in the photo slideshow) from a band that sent David Draiman a message about their music. I went to watch it and was BLOWN AWAY. Seriously just BLOWN AWAY. I thought I had found the lost recording of Metallica of 1985! The Music Junkie Press “After Golden Gods Awards” Awards!!

Well I am home from my trip to the 5th Revolver Golden Gods Awards which took place last week at the Club Nokia in Los Angeles. I hope all of you had a great time watching the Black Carpet and the award show live on XBOX, Facebook or AXS TV. There was so many great stories to share from that night, some we may have to keep quiet; but all in all it was a fantastic show. Sadly, hours before the Black Carpet, we got word of the passing of the great Jeff Hanneman from Slayer who died at the young age of 49 from liver failure. The night soon became filled with stories about Jeff and tributes to our fallen hero. Many drinks were shared and toasted to the life of Jeff and he will be greatly missed.
