The Blue Stones returned to San Francisco last week for their show at The Independent and once again they brought incredible openers; The Velveteers and JACK. We were glad to arrive early because JACK blew us away with their set. Singer Songwriter Jack Osborn had a charismatic energy that was highlighted with each song he sang. The Velveteers ROCK The Independent in San Francisco!

One of the up and coming bands we have been following The Velveteers made it to San Francisco this past week. They were opening up for The Blue Stones at the Independent. We have heard so many rave reviews about their live shows that we couldn’t wait to finally experience it ourselves. One thing is certain, they exceeded our high expectations for a full on ROCK SHOW! The energy of the dueling drums and the shredding guitar with captivating vocals had us completely mesmerized from start to finish. They had the crowd in awe of their performance as the adrenaline raced through the room and the fans reciprocated with screams and cheers. It was a mighty set that we will not soon forget. The National released its ninth studio album, First Two Pages of Frankenstein, on 4AD. Buy/Stream the album HERE. They played at BottleRock Napa 2023 and it was quite a set. They just began a 2023 world tour with a four-night stand in Chicago on May 18. The itinerary, with numerous shows already sold out, also includes the band’s first show at New York’s Madison Square Garden on August 18 with very special guest Patti Smith and her band. Other shows feature opening sets from Soccer Mommy, The Beths and Bartees Strange. Tove Lo performs her new track I Like U at BottleRock Napa

Tove Lo gave quite a set at BottleRock Napa and engaged the crowd throughout her set as they sang along. She also treated the audience to her performance of her new track, I Like . Speaking about the track Tove Lo reveals, “I wanted to make another dance song that sonically felt like a nod to 90’s and Y2K dance music. I wrote this song with Timfromthehouse, we worked on it for months in between tours to figure the perfect arrangement. It’s not the usual pop structure but it’s perfect for this song, I think. Lyrically I’m telling the story of my thoughts the first time I saw the love of my life. They’re not clean but at least I never said any of them out loud.” Tove will be donating a portion of her streaming proceeds from ‘I like u’ to The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention org for LGBTQ young people.
