As we begin to bring you our set recaps from Outside Lands, we would like to start off with one of our favorites. Dan Ashley performed at the Panhandle stage on Saturday and we were glad we caught the set.  Dan brought his Americana Rock and Original Roll band to the festival and it was quite a fun time. Dan comments, “We had a terrific experience performing at Outside Lands this year. What a privilege to play such a major music festival, not just in San Francisco, but one of the biggest in the country”. You might recognize Dan, he is a longtime ABC7 evening news anchor here in the Bay Area.  Well, he definitely ROCKED the stage at Outside Lands. You couldn’t help but be held captive by his passion for his music, as he delivered songs that carried his emotion along with euphonious vocals. Hannah Wicklund releases emotionally healing new track, Witness

July 27, 2023

Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Hannah Wicklund is set to release her full length album The Prize on October 13th.  On July 26th, Wicklund released her latest single, Witness, which is off her upcoming album. The song is her most personal to date and about claiming heartbreak, embracing it and using that to heal through some of the toughest times in life. Hannah confesses, “Getting into your first relationship as a strong, driven young woman, it’s very difficult to experience someone dim your light, but even harder to recognize it. Insecurities within young people play out in terrifying ways, and it’s very hard to not absorb other people’s darkness. Witness was the awareness I found in myself that it is not my responsibility to save anyone.” The single arrives accompanied by another of Hannah’s whimsical oil paintings as the single cover art. “With the artwork behind ‘Witness’, I wanted to capture the release of someone from your life; that last look before they are gone. So clearly the castle is my space, and watching ‘him’ go from the front [Read More]

June 16, 2023

Garret T. Willie is an old soul that you have to check out.  The rock and blues guitarist truly channels classic blues and rock with his music.  He has just released his  new track, Love Hangover and it is epic!  Garret commenting about the new song, “That’s one that Parker really took the lead on. He was, like, ‘I wanna write a really good, radio-ready banger.’ So I said ‘Okay, let’s do it.’ He started playing me this drum loop that, I swear, he just ripped from Gary Glitter’s ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ and I looked at him right away and he said ‘Don’t fuckin’ give me that look, just riff over it. Just trust me on this.’ So I kept trying and trying and trying and playing this and that, playing this and that, this and that, until finally I gotiff, the one that’s on the record. And then he said ‘I like that. Do it again.’“The song is about this one Muse, I guess you could say, that I had at that point in [Read More]
