Music is always the master of my emotions. If I am feeling down and need to vent, I can always turn to music to help me through the process. Or if I am feeling good and need music to just energize me and complement my good mood, I put the right songs on to do that. Well, today I was in one of those where I am literally in a doldrum type of state and went to do some work. I put on some of the music that was given to me to check out and I have to tell you…. it was like magic… My energy level quickly rose, I couldn’t help but smile and instantly feel good. Sick Puppies new CD, “Connect” is out!

Earlier this week, the new album by Sick Puppies, “Connect” came out. I have been a long time fan of these Australilan rockers and they never cease to amaze me. For them I have my new saying, ” I love you more than your last album but less than your next album”. I can’t imagine ever loving them any more than I do and then… BAM… their new music just has me loving them even more. I just had the opportunity to listen to the whole “Connect” album and I am just in awe of this new phase of Sick Puppies! I love when a band explores their adventurous side and steps outside their comfort zone and displays a new side to themselves. That is what I feel they have down with this CD. Time to Crank it up Loud to Jettblack!! How about some off the hook hard rock with Jettblack from across the pond. Okay my 80’s and 90’s Rock lovers out there, here is another awesome high powered, energy driven rock band that you are going to fall in love with. I promise on this one! These guys deliver the goods and by the way, it is so nicely packaged… Jettblack are four rockers from High Wycombe, England and started back in 2007. They have cited their influences as “Anything up until 1994”. Well these guys have been touring Europe and we are waiting for our turn to Rock out to this fantastic band. Brian Dugan announces his departure from Candlelight Red

Earlier today, Brian Dugan, drummer for Candlelight Red announced his departure from Candlelight Red. He posted the following on Facebook today. “Well another tour down and in the books. Unfortunately it will be my last playing the drums for Candlelight Red. Due to a busy tour schedule, which is good for the band, and family obligations at home,I felt it to be the time to step aside. In this business it is difficult at best to find a balance between both. This band is off to great things and I would never want to hinder its progress. To all the friends and fans I have met….thank you! This has been one of the best experiences of my life and one for which I am truly blessed. It saddens me to leave but at this stage is an unfortunate necessity. I will always be a fan of this band which has taught me so much about music and myself.
