Jettblack-500x333

Time to Crank it up Loud to Jettblack!! How about some  off the hook hard rock with Jettblack from across the pond. Okay my 80’s and 90’s Rock lovers out there, here is another awesome high powered, energy driven rock band that you are going to fall in love with. I promise on this one! These guys deliver the goods and by the way, it is so nicely packaged…

Jettblack are four rockers from High Wycombe, England and started back in 2007.  They have cited their influences as “Anything up until 1994”.  Well these guys have been touring Europe and we are waiting for our turn to Rock out to this fantastic band.  Their music has everything from hot guitar licks, smoking riffs, melodic chorus, heavy basslines and rockin drums. Then you add all the incredible vocals and in time you are rocking heavy and asking yourself why didn’t you hear these guys sooner.  Well better, sooner than never. Jettblack is Will Stapleton on Vocals, Guitar, Tom Wright on Bass, Matt Oliver on Drums, and Jon Dow on Vocals, Guitar.  What a chemistry they bring together. Truly a union of amazing talent.

We are pleased to bring you an interview with Jettblack!!

Music Junkie Press: What is Jettblack currently working on right now? We have heard word of a new mini-album?

Tom Wright: Okay so we are currently in the middle of writing album Number Three, which is going really well, we hope to get in to the studio in November but in the meantime we have a B sides and Rarieties album coming out. Basically trying to get all of the digital and special addition releases on a hard copy for the people out there that still buy them. But it also has three new treats on there for you all. So go get it August the 19th It’s called Black Gold and we have a new version of that on there.

Music Junkie Press:  You  have us really excited now! How was the UK tour co headlining with Crashdiet? What was the craziest thing that happened on tour?

Tom Wright: That tour was awesome, we had so much fun and made a lot of new friends and fans. The Crash Diet guys were in a weird place as their manager had recently passed away so their whole tour was up in the air so as for crazy stuff between the two bands there wasn’t too much going on, but we are up to our usual tricks so. It was a great tour.
Music Junkie Press:  We heard about the passing of their manager. That was tragic! How about you guys, do you have any plans to come to the States, most specifically California? I think you guys belong on the Sunset Strip!

Tom Wright:   We would love to come to California or America in general , that and Japan have always been dreams of ours. It’s just a case of getting the money together.

Music Junkie Press:  Those are the places where you belong!!! Raining Rock just had one hit after another and we had it on replay for quite a while! Out of the whole album which song was your favourite?

Tom Wright: We were so pleased with that album as we were with the first but i would have to say my favourite tracks personally are Black Gold, Prison Of Love and Raining Rock of course

Music Junkie Press: Good ones there! We absolutely LOVED the video for Raining Rock, it truly brought a sense of reality to all those singing competition shows. Definitely a favorite of ours. Do you have any more videos that we should check out?

Tom Wright:  We have a few videos all of which we have pretty much produced ourselves with our manager. My favourite is our first on that we had to do on a shoe string and we managed to pull it together and that is Get Your Hands Dirty. We actually filmed it in Malcolm Youngs garage. But check them all out.

Music Junkie Press:  What are some of the most influential albums for you that led you to giving us KICK ASS OLD SCHOOL ROCK AND METAL?

Tom Wright:  The Black Album, Master OF Puppets, Pornographiti, Americas Least Wanted, British Steel, Slave to The Grind, Peace Sells… there are so many good albums back then. there have been some good ones since but few and far between. The Sword, Warp Riders is a more recent one and that fucking rules.

Music Junkie Press:  What would you say is the one thing you would like to change about the music industry today?

Tom Wright:  I wouldn’t be able to stop at just one thing so i will keep my mouth shut. I’m pretty sure that says a lot in itself.

Music Junkie Press:  If Jettblack could take any Pop song or a song from a completely different genre and turn it into your own style, what might it be?

Tom Wright: Easy, We don’t need another hero, Tina Turner. Saying that there are so many we would love to take

Music Junkie Press: That would be an incredible cover though!! If I peaked at your Ipod/playlist, what artist or singer might I be most surprised at finding on there?

Tom Wright: There are too many to mention Shania Twain, Cliff Richard, George Jones. We listen to so many different bands and artists you would be very surprised.

Music Junkie Press: Lastly, if you could go back to your 14 year old self, what advice would you give to yourself?

Tom Wright: Get a better bass player.

Music Junkie Press: Is there anything else you would like to share with us at Music Junkie Press?

Tom Wright: Thanks for all of your support wherever you are, go grab out new mini album, go grab our other albums go watch the videos and hopefully see you all soon
