French Metal band DAGOBA takes over San Francisco!

November 26, 2013

WOW! I know I told you about DAGOBA coming to San Francisco to open up for returning metal band, Dir En Grey but you can’t believe how awesome they were!  I have been looking forward to seeing DAGOBA live since we have been playing a lot of their heavy songs from their latest album, LP “Post Mortem Nihil Est.” It was recently released here in the US only a couple weeks ago and on Sunday night they came to The Regency Ballroom on the Ghoul 2013 Tour with Dir En Grey.  We had the opportunity to interview Shawter, composer and singer for DAGOBA and here is that interview:   They really came out and put on an amazing show. They have excellent stage presence and this was their first time playing in San Francisco. Dir En Grey has a very tight following and it was awesome to see how DAGOBA won over the crowd.  They even got them to do the Wall of Death, Mosh pits, Circle pits and more. The energy was fierce and their [Read More]

Steel Panther highlights from San Francisco show!

November 21, 2013

Steel Panther on a Friday night? What better way to PARTY!! On November 8th, Steel Panther returned to the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco for another solid performance to a packed house.  They had two excellent opening bands, Hillbilly Herald and SpiralArms. Make sure to check out their write ups as well. When Steel Panther performs, it is always an amazing show. I know a lot of people think of them as only a heavy metal parody band, but you can’t ignore that these four guys are extremely talented musicians and can rival many metal bands out today with their talent. They make everyone miss the ’80s! You have the kick ass guitar riffs by Satchel, killer bass by Lexxi, solid drumming by Stix and the full on 80’s rockstar vocals by Michael.   You can check out a tribute video by Rockin Ryan which has footage and photos from their SF show:   Now in case you missed it, they recently released their video for their new song, “Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of [Read More]

Punk Trio, Beretta Suicide debut new video for “Changes?!”

November 20, 2013

Straight from Leeds, UK is a fantastic punk rock band, Beretta Suicide that deserves your attention! This larger than life sound surprisingly comes from three guys; Joey K on leads and bass, Joe Clements on guitar and Kidd Pert on drums. Together they create a sound that is reminiscent of the Ramones or Sex Pistols.  Their music has high energy with punk angst blended with fierce attitude. They just released a video for their song, “Changes?!” which is off of their debut self titled album. Check out the video here:   That is a bad ass balls to the wall song! Now that we have you hooked, let’s head over to Itunes, Amazon  or their website  and pick it up!  The 11 track album was recorded at the Animal Farm Studios in London with Jamie Todd.  This album is the perfect Go To album for whatever mood you are in. A couple of my favorites so far are Run and Roam, Another Wolf in The Wings, Changes, Go Slow, and To Play and Win but [Read More]

Seven Days Lost release their video for ‘Whiskey and Gasoline”

November 13, 2013

Shock Rock/Metal Seven Days Lost from Pueblo, Colorado have just released their video for Whiskey and Gasoline. They have been called, rock, metal, shock rock but whatever you want to call them is fine with me. They are AWESOME! Think a combination of GWAR, Murderdolls and Rob Zombie!  The song is truly bad ass and has a great rockabilly feel to it’s metal rock and it is a funny video too.  Check out their video here:   You can pick up their new CD Good Day to Die which is available and music retailers or you can pick it up right from their store on their website here. Seven Days Lost is  Joseph Vallejos (Lead Guitar & Vocals), Michael Trejo (Guitar & Lead Vocals) Gary Higdon (Bass & Lead Vocals), and Justus Downey (Drums & Vocals). These guys not only deliver incredible energy onstage but provide a visual show with their music. Seven Days Lost are pure entertainment and their new CD is demanding that they be heard! French Metal band DAGOBA release new video for “The Great Wonder”

October 31, 2013

I have been really digging the new music by French metal band, DAGOBA! Even though they have been around since 1997, they are finally getting the recognition and attention they deserve here in the States. They have just released their new video for “The Great Wonder” which is off of their new  LP “Post Mortem Nihil Est,” that will be available here in the US on November 5th. Check out the video:     These guys truly have a great clean Metal sound that I am really loving! They kind of remind me of a mix of Five Finger Death Punch and All that Remains. The vocals are clean and sharp, precision drumming and bad ass guitars.  DAGOBA is currently out on tour in support of DIR EN GREY and they are making a stop in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom on November 23rd.  We will see if we can bring you an interview with this amazing metal band. DAGOBA is  Shawter on Vocals/Machines, Franky Costanza on Drums,  Zon Guitar and Werther Ytier on Bass. ~Marisol Information [Read More]
