Motionless In White – live at the Zenith in Munich

with Make Them Suffer and Dayseeker

It’s only been a year since Motionless In White last made a stop in Munich during their European tour. While 10 years ago they played small clubs in Germany, they managed to go from a mid-size venue in 2025 to the second biggest we have around here with a capacity of about 5.800 people. Many popular acts play here regularly, like f.e. Bullet For My Valentine, Yungblud, Architects, Landmvrks, Alter Bridge. Not every act that plays there also manages to play a full house, but Motionless In White did it! In fact all of the four German shows are sold out! Which is no small wonder, because fans can expect an incredible show. It may have taken a while longer to build up their fan base in Germany, but right now they have a solid one.

Doors were at 5.30 pm, which is early, but it was a weekday, so it’s perfectly fine, though people came in later than usual.  First band to play were Make Them Suffer from Australia. They started at 7 pm and played for a bit over 30 Minutes. Make Them Suffer started out with symphonic Death-Core in their early days, but over the last years their music developed more into Metal-Core which probably made their music more accessible for a wider audience. The songs they picked for this set gave an overview of their most popular songs of the last five years, which left old and new fans satisfied and warmed up for what was to come.

Setlist MTS:

At around 7.45 pm Dayseeker took over. They have played in Germany multiple times now and have a growing fan base. Their set included songs that probably pop up in every Metalcore/Metal/Rock playlist you might pick. What stands out is frontman Rory Rodriguez’ amazing clean vocals, which give me goosebumps every time.

Finally, 9 pm, it’s showtime for the headliner – Motionless In White. They started their 90 minute set out with the uptempo song “Meltdown”, which was underlined by the extensive use of fire blasts and dancers. This first song made it clear, that MIW take their show and performance seriously, underlining their theatrical touch. Aside from fire, they also had confetti canons, which were put to good use during their performance of A-M-E-R-I-C-A. Three giant monitors showed alternately the band, parts from music videos and the fans. Most of the songs were from their recent records “Scoring The End Of The World” and “Graveyard Shift”. They cover the time, where they really gained access to a wider audience and made a lot of new fans. So it’s no surprise, those songs got special ecstatic reactions from the crowd. For fans of the early days, they added an incredible performance of City Lights, which showed, that the band, aside from singer Chris Motionless, also has two other perfectly able vocal performer in the band, guitarist Ricky Olson and bass-player Justin Morrow. Compared to other shows, Munich had an additional song added to the extensive setlist – “Soft”.

The set ended, almost in tradition, with “Eternally Yours” and the handing out of red roses. It closed an amazing show, which band and audience seemed to have enjoyed equally.

Chris Motionless announced another tour for next year, where we can look forward to new songs and surely another incredible performance.
