September 19, 2017

It was three days of heaven down in Del Mar, California this past weekend as KAABOO delivered a not-to-be missed festival. KAABOO featured three days of spectacular music on the grounds of the infamous Del Mar racetrack. Everywhere you turned, was a stage featuring great musical acts, head turning art and top notch food and drinks at every corner. The festival kicked off on Friday, September 15th and the crowds were spread out among the five major stages, enjoying the likes of X Ambassadors, Smash Mouth, Dave Mason, Lawrence, Weezer, Kesha, Red Hot Chili Peppers and so much more. The variety of bands insured that everyone would be pleased with the music and have their favorite artists performing. KAABOO SPOTLIGHT: Check out the new video from LANY for “Super Far”

September 12, 2017

Time to check out the new video from LANY for their song, Super Far which is off their recently released debut album. ‘ The colour-drenched video was directed by Isaac Ravishankara (Hozier, Aurora and Kesha) and sees the band explore a vivid, ever-changing backdrop as Klein ruminates on a long-distance relationship breakdown.’ Check out the new video here: LANY have also posted a tour video for the track which captured a snapshot of the constantly touring trio’s life on the road, taking in their recent Asia tour from the rolling greenery of the Valley Rock Festival in Seoul to the neon lights of Tokyo and crowds as far as the eye can see in Manila, where they performed five sold out shows in a row.  Check that one out here: With an extensive tour schedule ahead, you will have plenty of chances to catch LANY live! We are very excited to catch LANY at KAABOO later this week. They are set to play Saturday, September 16th at 2:10 on the Sunset Cliffs by Mercedes Benz stage! We [Read More]

GARBAGE out on tour with Blondie, shares music video for new single, “No Horses”

August 3, 2017

GARBAGE SHARES MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “NO HORSES”. Garbage today shared a music video for their new single “No Horses”. Directed by Pancake Mountain creator Scott Stuckey, “No Horses” was released last month and is available now HERE. All of the band’s profits from sales and streaming of the single will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross through the end of 2018. Watch the video below: Scott Stuckey comments on the video’s inspiration, “It’s been my observation that when governments disregard their citizens for their own greed, the ensuing soundtrack usually kick’s ass. Like Nina Simone’s ‘Mississippi Goddam’ or the Clash’s ‘Straight To Hell’, ‘No Horses’ made me realize that I’m not going insane, these really are fucked up times. The lyrics are powerful so the challenge was to add something visually that wouldn’t ruin the individual’s interpretation.” Garbage kicked off their co-headline “Rage & Rapture Tour” with Blondie on July 5th in Saratoga, CA and will be touring the U.S. for the duration of the summer. Both bands along with an opening [Read More]

KAABOO Artist Spotlight: LIVE

July 10, 2017

We have had a great string of reunited bands and one of my favorites is the original lineup of LIVE. They are set to perform at this year’s KAABOO Del Mar Festival. The original lineup of Kowalczyk, guitarist Chad Taylor, bassist Patrick Dahlheimer and drummer Chad Gracey are in the midst of a World Tour. In addition to touring they will be releasing new music. We caught them perform earlier this year at BottleRock Napa 2017 and LIVE’s performance was phenomenal. They hit the stage and were non-stop with the energy. They impressed me all over again and I couldn’t hold back my ear-to-ear grin. It was as if we stepped back into a time machine, they sounded spot on. I can’t wait for you to experience their incredible set at KAABOO Del Mar!  Check out photos of their set at BottleRock by our Rockin Ryan: Check out the details on the vinyl re-issue: LĪVE’s platinum-selling albums, Secret Samadhi and The Distance To Here, have been re-issued on vinyl! The first 2,000 individually numbered [Read More]
