Michael Franti & Spearhead and Zella Day brighten up Rohnert Park with their set at SOMO Village

It was a magical night at the SOMO Village as Michael Franti & Spearhead along with Zella Day delivered emotionally stirring and inspiring sets.

Zella Day kicked off the night with her eclectic style and infectious songs. She captivated the crowd with her Bohemian spirit that brought to life the emotions of her songs. Her vibrant energy overflowed as the crowd reciprocated with their appreciation and danced effervescently to the music. A couple highlights for me were Sweet Ophelia, High and Mustang Kids. Michael Franti & Spearhead hit the stage and the energy increased, as the crowd sang along to fan favorites as well as dancing in the moonlight. If you haven’t experienced a Michael Franti concert, then you haven’t truly lived. He brings out this bright ray of sunshine when he performs, drawing in each and every audience member as he awakens their every sense. His music feeds your soul with an abundance of love, good spirits and positive energy. You simply cannot escape the “goodness” and “beauty” that comes from the music. It is emotional, inspiring and truly amazing to be a part of, as you feel rejuvenated with each note. You are one in that crowd of many, yet you feel the audience joining together and become one strong force of change. You feel the power of all of you, and truly know that you can make a difference in this world and that It is Good To Be Alive Today!

At the end of the show, your exhilaration turns into a feeling of calm and peace, and as you leave, you are filled with hope and a positive spirit, that you can take with you and share with everyone around you. It is pure musical bliss. The world would surely be a better place, if everyone listened to more Michael Franti & Spearhead.
