12 Days of Rock Christmas!
Day 5

On the 5th day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me some LA Rock from Winchester Rebels. I am so glad that these guys are around to show that certain types of music will live on and evolve. With Winchester Rebels you get the powerful feel, reminiscent of Rock and Roll straight from the Sunset Strip but laced with some Seattle grunge. It is the perfect blend, like I created my perfect coffee mix, a little of this and a little of that and BAM you have a double shot of ROCK to enjoy! It is as if Scott Weiland walked into the wrong studio and  ended up in an Alice in Chains studio and they just jammed.  What developed was their own unique sound that is Winchester Rebels and is a sound that is hard to rival.

Belting out the awesome and sexy vocals is Nick Hunt, then you are given a double dose of rockin guitars by Nick Fitzgerald and James Longoria. Add in the energetic bass by John Livergood and round it off with some sharp heavy drumming by Barry Carter. That is the great sound of Winchester Rebels  and it began in 2009 in Santa Barbara, California. Southern California is lucky enough to be treated to the majority of their shows but we need to get Winchester Rebels heard everywhere! They cannot be kept secret any longer. The world needs to enjoy them just as much as I do.

Since they are an independent band, it is up to you to do your part for music and to spread the word about Winchester Rebels. With the ever changing tides of the music industry, it is great to see that bands are still getting out there and putting out great music on their own. Now, WE have to do OUR part to keep the music alive. Get out to one of their shows, buy their albums, head to the website and buy t-shirts, hat, etc. That is how we can continue to get these bands to play in towns across the country.

Here you can check out their video for my favorite song of theirs “Down”” which is off their debut album, “Three Sheets to the Wind”.  The video is from when they played at one of my favorite old stomping grounds in Hollywood, The Roxy.

You can download the album too here or order the hard copy CD from their website store here. Whichever is fine, but make sure to get your Winchester Rebels music. How about one more video for ya? This one is for “Flying” from the same album. Love them!

Crank it up and get your fix of Winchester Rebels,
