Today on our countdown of 14 Bands that will rule in 2014 goes to Art of Dying. Rockers, Art of Dying from Canada have a constant spot on my daily music playlist. Their music not only kicks ass in rock n roll but also have such emotionally charged lyrics that many can connect and relate to. I don’t think a day goes by where I didn’t listen to an Art of Dying song. As I mentioned before, I personally, have experienced the power of healing through music by listening to my favorite Art of Dying songs at one of the hardest times in my life. It truly is music to feed your soul wrapped in blazing rock and roll. It has been great to watch Art of Dying become one of everyone’s favorite bands and their fans all have great stories to share. Day 3 of 12 Days of Guitarists goes to J.R. Bareis of Love and Death

For our Day 3 of 12 Days of Guitarists, I bring you one of most talented teens to the hit the stage in a very long time. J.R. Baries of Love and Death. J.R. was picked by Korn guitarist, Brian Head Welch to join his band, Love and Death when he was only 15 in March 2011. J.R. has been playing guitar since he was 11 and it is amazing to know that he never took any lessons, completely self taught. He shreds on the guitar and has quite impressive skills that definitely qualify him as our guitarist extraordinaire. J.R. uses PRS Guitars, Mesa Boogie, GHS Strings, 1964 Ears, In Tune Guitar Picks and Best-Tronics Guitar Cables. J.R. also shows how to play tutorials on his Youtube channel and you can learn how to play many of the Love and Death songs. White Stallion release first single, “Livin High” featuring Brian Tichy on drums

White Stallion from Sydney, Australia release their first single “Livin’ High” featuring special guest, Brian Tichy on drums. Their single was mixed by local producer and mix engineer Darren Jenkins of Jenk Music Productions. White Stallion is KC Venom on Lead Vocals, Blaze on Guitars and Vocals and Randy Roxxx on Bass. “Livin’ High” featuring Brian Tichy on drums is a bad ass that you have to check out. The band says about having Brian play with them, “Having Brian (Tichy) playing drums on “Livin’ High” is just awesome! Dellacoma Rio releases his first debut single “Dead Will Rise”

Earlier this year, I told you about an awesome band that I fell in love with from Australia, Sunset Riot. You can read that post here. They really caught my eye and couldn’t wait to hear more from them. Of course, I learned about them a little too late since they did disband later in the year. I was excited to hear that singer Dellacoma Rio was still pursing his passion for music in the aftermath of Sunset Riot’s disbanding. Dellacoma has such an amazingly unique voice that draws you in to his musical world. Here we are at the #10 spot, counting down the 14 bands that we think will rule 2014. Today for hot spot Number 10, we bring you Beware of Darkness. This band just exploded on to the scene this year and there is definitely no slowing them down. Beware of Darkness was formed in 2010 by singer/guitarist Kyle Nicolaides and drummer Tony Cupito. They added bassist Daniel Curcio and they became a well rounded powerful trio. In 2013, they released their debut album Orthodox and their song Howl seemed to become one of everyone’s favorite new song including mine. I remember the first time I heard it was when I was listening to the MusicChoice channel on cable. I was writing and the song came on, I almost stumbled out of my chair to race over and make sure I could find out what the song was. Day 2 of Guitarists goes to Sid Glover of Heaven’s Basement

Today is Day 2 of our Guitarists and we are proud to bring you Sid Glover of Heaven’s Basement. Sid is a madman on his Gibson. We saw Sid a couple times this year and he just doesn’t disappoint. Heaven’s Basement quickly rose to fame in the States this year and we couldn’t wait to see Sid play live at Aftershock Festival in September. It was our first time seeing them and it was awesome to see them play the big Monster stage. Read more about their Aftershock performance here. In October we had the opportunity to see Heavens Basement play a smaller venue in San Francisco when they opened up for The Pretty Reckless. It was a packed house at Slim’s and it was a stellar evening that included Louna from Russia and the whole night was amazing!
