Countdown of 14 bands that will rule 2014! #10 goes to Beware of Darkness

Here we are at the #10 spot, counting down the 14 bands that we think will rule 2014. Today for hot spot Number 10, we bring you Beware of Darkness. This band just exploded on to the scene this year and there is definitely no slowing them down.  Beware of Darkness was formed in 2010 by singer/guitarist Kyle Nicolaides and drummer Tony Cupito. They added bassist Daniel Curcio and they became a well rounded powerful trio.

In 2013, they released their debut album Orthodox and their song Howl seemed to become one of everyone’s favorite new song including mine.  I remember the first time I heard it was when I was listening to the MusicChoice channel on cable. I was writing and the song came on, I almost stumbled out of my chair to race over and make sure I could find out what the song was. From that moment, many months ago,  we were pleased to hear it being played on Octane XM, Sixx Sense, radio and much more. You can pick up Orthodox on Itunes here.

This year, they toured extensively including opening for The Smashing Pumpkins in Europe, the UPROAR Festival, performed at UK Leed’s and Redding music festivals. They are currently on their “Salvation is Here Tour” so make sure to check the dates and see if they are coming to a city near you!

Beware

We will be heading out to catch them at their Sacramento show on the 22nd. The last time we saw them was when they performed at Uproar Festival in Mountain View in September and they were amazing. You can check out a tribute video that Rockin Ryan put together for”Howl” that includes footage and photos from their Uproar Performance.

They really bring to life bluesy rock with an updated alternative style.  Their music almost channels Zeppelin and has The White Stripes vibe that I love. Blues based riffs take you on a ride that you never want to get off of.  The vocals just grab and take a hold of you.

Check out their lyric video for another one of my favorite songs, “All Who Remain”

Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on all the latest Beware of Darkness news.  We will see if we can bring you an interview with this awesome band. I will leave you with more Rockin Ryan photos of Beware of Darkness from the Uproar Festival.
