Countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014. #9 goes to Art of Dying

Art of Dying

Today on our countdown of 14 Bands that will rule in 2014 goes to Art of Dying. Rockers, Art of Dying from Canada have a constant spot on my daily music playlist.  Their music not only kicks ass in rock n roll but also have such emotionally charged lyrics that many can connect and relate to. I don’t think a day goes by where I didn’t listen to an Art of Dying song.  As I mentioned before,  I personally, have experienced the power of healing through music by listening to my favorite Art of Dying songs at one of the hardest times in my life. It truly is music to feed your soul wrapped in blazing rock and roll.

It has been great to watch Art of Dying become one of everyone’s favorite bands and their fans all have great stories to share. Art of Dying is Jonny Hetherington on Vocals, Greg Bradley on Guitar, Jeff Brown on Drums, Cale Gontier on Bass/Vocals and Tavis Stanley on Guitar and Vocals. These guys are on fire and everyone is quickly falling in love with their music.

Recently, frontman Jonny Hetherington has released piano versions of a couple of their songs. God For a Day, a heartfelt favorite of mine, is now available on Itunes. We recently had the chance to talk with Jonny about his piano songs and what is next in store for Art of Dying and you can read that interview here.

In our interview Jonny told us that they were finished writing their new album and are focusing on getting it recorded. They plan to tour extensively in support of their new album which is due out in 2014!

Tavis also gave us an update on their upcoming album. “We have been writing for the last year. There has been pros and cons to this. The cons that is has taken us so long to get this album out but the good news is that we have had time to develop the music  and feel that the songs we have are very strong and we will start recording in the new year and knock it out. Then we will really be busy next your touring”

I can’t wait for the new album where Tavis also mentioned there are going to be some heavy guitar riffs and of course more of their great harmonies.  So get ready for some new Art of Dying next year and catch them while they are out on tour. They are a band that you don’t want to miss!

We are so excited to hear about the new album and I can’t wait to see Art of Dying out on tour. It has been almost 2 years since we saw them last at the Uproar Festival here in Mountain View, California. You can check out some of our photos from that event below in the slide show.

Make sure to follow Art of Dying on all their social media sites so you can stay up to date on their latest news. You can also head over to Itunes here and make sure you have all of their music in your collection. They are definitely ear porn and you will be hooked! I will leave you with a video of one of my favorite songs, “Straight from the Mind”

~ Enjoy, Marisol
